Tons actually, Paula. But I'm SO behind in the threads that it's going to be one/two random Bellarke comments like this one first:

Quote:

Bellamy lashes out. Takes all his anger and sadness on her. He tries to push her away. Clarke could just walk away and leave him alone just like she did in 2.16, but instead she stays there, standing right next to him. Because she knows he doesn’t mean it. She knows that he is hurt, angry and sad. And she understands his pain and most important of all: now she knows how much he needs her. She won’t leave again. So she just stays in silence next to him, just being there for him. And in matter of seconds he opens up to her. Because he needs her. Because all he wanted was her to stay. Because she’s the only one who can say something to comfort him and give him strength to carry on. Despite his attempt to push her away, Clarke doesn’t leave this time. She stays. And that, my friends, it’s a silent way to say i’m sorry, a silent way to say i’m here for you now. In this silent moment (before Clarke says the only way they’re gonna get through this is together, before the hug) they acknowledge that they need each other.
I agree with this, April. I didn't like that he seemed to be lashing out at her but I think it was his way of sussing out whether it was Clarke or Wanheda that he was seeing in that moment and she knew he was still hurting and did the best thing she could in that moment: just be there for him and the dude opened up in 2 seconds. He wanted her to stay so badly but he never wants to acknowledge that he ever needs anyone but oh boy, he needs her around so much.

Open to any topics you've thought of recently though. :)

I have a super long essay coming up on posts from like thread #88 so that'll have to wait until later.

girl under the floor 06-10-2016 05:37 AM

Well, I think I thought of this in the Bellamy thread because April needed reasons why we love Bellamy.
But I love how Bellamy is not afraid to show his feelings.
Sure, he doesn't go crying in a group hug
And most (all?) of it is around Clarke, but I love how he's just letting it out

destroyer of worlds 06-10-2016 05:40 AM

YESYES. I love how he's all tough guy around everyone else but Clarke and Octavia ... and not sure if you saw the posts in the earlier threads where I commented that Bellamy has only ever cried three times and it was all when Clarke was around and no one else. It's such a telling thing that he's only very emotional around Clarke. :sigh:

Hey Sarah  good to have you here now :) I was out for a bit for a meeting but now I am back. I love the part I bolded
I cannot wait for your epic posts, I always look forward to them when I login ;)
I did a Sarah style post a few pages back when I got on this thread, same, bringing over stuff from #88 onwards

Current discussion initiated by April here was about whether you think C and B realized that they love each other / are in love with each other and if so when?

girl under the floor 06-10-2016 05:46 AM

Yes, I saw that, but I thought the thread would get so boring if I just went and quoted everything you said only to go: OMG!!! ITA!!!! :lmao:

Some questions to get through the thread? :)

What's your number 1 Bellarke moment?

ETA: But I already answered that Kate

Hey Paula :D that is exactly how I feel some mornings when I log on.

I feel like it has been so long since I watched s1&2, it's all a big jumble in my head....and I have so many but that whole scene on the beach in 3x13 (?), starting with Clarke looking at him walking away, then the whole conversation and the most epic hug EVER  :melt:
I think that is my top moment in all three seasons :thud:

ETA: btw and totally OT but you are an outlander fan I gather? ;)

Kate!! Glad we're on at the same time finally. :D

Aww thank you  ... I always think I'm spamming the thread and simultaneously boring everyone  but I am glad you enjoy them. :)

And I saw your Sarah Style post, so proud. :high_five:

As for the thread question, I personally don't think Clarke is aware of her feelings yet because as we've talked before, she is very good in compartmentalizing her feelings so she doesn't even realise she loves/cares for someone (though again I don't believe she really did love either Finn/Lexa ;) ) unless they initiate something romantic with her. I did think Lexa commenting that she cares for Bellamy was probably a bit of an "Oh ********" moment for her but she probably brushed it off afterwards. She did however affirm that she loved Bellamy canonically when she said "Love is weakness" and then told Bellamy that she was being weak when she asked him to not be the inside man since she didn't want to lose him.

As for Bellamy, he is closer to that realisation but is probably in severe denial right now  / writing it off as feelings for her as a friend and nothing more though it's SO OBVIOUS at this point. ;) As for when, I think he realised it in 3X02. That line in the script about him not realising the depth of his feelings/desperation to save her was very telling.

 Sometimes I feel like doing that too TBH but my smarmy *** somehow needs to comment.

OMG, I cannot pick only one Paula. This is brutal. :lmao:

Hmmm. I guess if I had to pick, I would pick the moment that Bellamy found Clarke in the cave and brushed her face so tenderly that I just ... :thud:  And then her pleading for his life at the expense of her own. That was just THE most romantic Bellarke moment/episode if there ever was one, risking and sacrificing everything just to make sure the other person is okay. :in_love: Like one of the potential 100th thread title said, it's obviously unconditional love between them regardless of whether you consider it romantic at this point.

Same question to the both of you. ;)

That one is definitely one of my top favorites as well

Have you been lurking on the Outlander board? Join us

Sarah I agree with you, that was one of their most romantic scenes

I really think my favorite scene is the fight scene
The acting, the emotions. I love them together, but I was glad Bellamy told Clarke off.
The thing is, it seemed a(nother) turning point in their relationship. They needed to say those things to each other in order to move on.

Be back soon, picking up son from his playdate!

destroyer of worlds 06-10-2016 06:07 AM

I agree that the fight scene was important but I still hated seeing them at odds/being all teary eyed. :( It was a hard scene to watch, but definitely required if they really want to move on from the events/things unsaid in S2.

See you soon. (love your sig BTW  )

yeah I had the love is weakness in my answer too :) for me that is confirmation of love. whether is is romantic or not at that point I couldn't say.

fave moment is 3x13 beach scene. his breakdown, his anger. just his face in that moment. And Clarke's reaction when she realizes just HOW MUCH he missed her, was lost without her. It breaks me every time I see it :melt: and tbh, I was half hoping for a kiss there  but then those damn sea clan ppl showed up

and omg , it says that in the script?? Seriously, I need to get my hands on all the available scripts out there. omg omg omg :thud: just :thud:

Alexa 06-10-2016 06:16 AM

Sarah unfortunately it couldn't wait because I will be busy all weekend. And actually next week too until maybe Thursday. I had to get the arts done tonight because I know we will get to the 100th soon. I did not think they were gonna take as long as they did. SIGH.

But they are pretty so its all good. :)

BUT YAY for finishing another thread! Goodnight everyone, I will be back tomorrow night  or tonight I should say.

Well said.

IKR?? :lmao: Damn sea people ruining that moment because I felt that they would have just stayed in that moment for much longer if they weren't interrupted there. Bellamy really only moved his face away from her neck so that he could rest it on her shoulder instead. :in_love:

Yup I need to re-find that line from the script too but I remembered that it was very telling and interesting as to how that scene was interpreted in the script. ;) This is why a lot of Bellarkers said that Aaron Ginsburg needs to write more episodes in general, and ESPECIALLY the Bellarke-centric episodes because he wrote both 3X02 and 3X15 which both had amazing BC moments and 3X15 was also a very solid episode in general. :D

It echoes. The lengths he is willing to go to to save her even surprises him. The realization that he can't crushes him.
and yes 3x15 was a nearly flawless episode in my opinion regardless what show we're talking about or what TV genre. I had me gushing on the phone to a friend after I watched it. Such good stuff, writing, editing, acting :thud:

Paula not lurking no  and I do not think I can find the time to join anywhere else  I guessed from your username? I like the show but I have been a fan of the books for idk, maybe 15 years? I have read and re-read them several times up to now. Loved the fact that RDM is the showrunner, I've been a fan of his since Star Trek Next generation (and then BSG of course) :lmao:
