Yeah I like that fact too, that Kane thinks he can comment on Bellamy's mother like that and Bellamy's like NOPE. This is why I didn't quite understand why Niylah said that last week to Clarke, re: Lexa. When someone comments on behalf of someone else, I find it kind of lame - especially if a) they barely know that person or b) um, helped kill that person

It seems like such an empty thing to say just to make someone feel better

Agreed.

It just feels ... hollow when comments like these come from people who didn't actually know the person that they're commenting on (all that well).

Though I have to say, does he mean it in more of a general context i.e. Kane was on the Council that decided to float his mother? Because Jaha was chancellor at the time so it's not a case where the final call was made by Kane. I'm just digressing, I get the sentiment of that Bellamy comment.

Yeah, in my mind Kane was always like the XO on a ship, Jaha's right hand man.
So even if he didn't push the button himself, I think the general sentiment is that he was at least a part of floating her.

That's true

and since it was Kane who said those words about Bellamy's mother, out came those words. As it probably would, if Jaha ever said something to that extent to Bellamy.

On a lighter note, how awesome was it at the beginning when Bellamy & Kane co-saved thay guy who fell in the rain? Loved seeing them working together like that!

Not sure I completely agree with that. Bellamy has been sort of good at letting Kane in (and Clarke obviously) to at least somewhat ease his self doubt. And to help him see how special he is

Yup, they're both good in pushing people away but Kane never gave up on him and I think that made all the difference.

I love that line too.
