I'm not going to lie, I like the original series WAY better. I own it on DVD but they only got one season on TV. The miniseries was made first before it ever converted into a TV series.

Yeah, it was. There are those who are pretty critical of the TV season it got but I'm cool with it.

My mom still didn't understand why it didn't get that many seasons and hopes this one will continue on with more.

Yeah, I was a kid when the original came out but my dad really liked it and I remembered watching it with him.

Years later, I saw it again. I thought it was good and could have deserved another season.

I think it was because the shows weren't as popular back then, I mean there were quite a few shows that I myself liked and believe should've been given more than three seasons or the amount they were given.

I have the original on dvd. It's so weird to watch them though because of how chessey the technology was but at the same time that's what makes it a hit classic. It's got this whole other vibe where you literally have to put yourself back in that time period and try to see it from that perspective and then it becomes like 'oh wow this is awesome.'

LOL I just can't get through the whole season though I have to stop every now and then because it's so hilarious now.

Their viewpoint on future technology would have been different back then but I can definitely stand back and watch it in the context that was the 1980s mindset.

Maybe they don't want to spoil anything, but I've also heard that ABC isn't promoting the show as much as they used to. I haven't watched ABC in recent weeks, so I don't know if it's true.
