My three favourite characters were Jack, Davy Jones and Norrington and I think I cried when two of the three died

Hmmm... I don't remember much of the 3rd other than Davy Jones duel with Jack, Norrington's death, and Will becoming Captain of The Flying Dutchman.

The 1st and 2nd definitely outdo the 3rd, though I love them all, the 2nd was probably my favourite, I think that was the most amazing of the 3

The franchise was built on Jack. I believe that's enough of a draw. But it will be a little odd without Will and Elizabeth. Tho I am excited that Captain Teague, Gibbs, and Barbossa are in it even if Pintel and Ragetti aren't.
