^Actually, I was worried about that, too.

I'm hoping some people are just keeping their decision private.

When our board got on the "low post" list, I was exploring the Closed Forums board. The FlashForward board was closed in part because they couldn't find permanent mods for the board. (http://www.fanforum.com/f103/message...tice-62952934/) I'm hoping that won't happen here.

that's exactly what i'm hoping for!

and wow, i didn't know that could actually result in the board's closure! that'd be terrible!

i'd love to be a mod here because i love our board and still love the show, but i wasn't going to apply because i've been away from FF for a few months and i just came back, so i'd never be choosen, plus i wasn't around when the board needed to be saved the most, so i feel that'd be unfair to you guys. but in this case maybe i could apply just to make sure we don't end up with no applications?

^If you are interested, I think you should apply then.

While the points you bring up might hurt your chances if you were applying on a different board, I think here the decision makers will be a little more forgiving. Just my thoughts, of course, I don't know anything.

Maybe Court has some insight?

yeah, maybe. but, if i do it, it really won't be because i think i have chances of getting the spot, which i most likely don't, just because i'd rather have my application rejected than to just sit around not knowing if the board is going down right in front of us and not doing anything, right?

i hope Court does have some insight to give us, though. or that someone drops by to let us know they've applied!

Well if you have been a big part of the board I still say apply

Everyone has issues in RL and can't be on FF all day everyday. I'm sure the MM would be understanding but in saying that it could be a deciding factor if there are a lot of other candidates etc.

If there is sound proof that you've been posting on here for a while and are passionate about the board then go for it! As long as you are willing to stick around and fight for the board through thick and thin I don't see a problem.

I've been rejected for about four different mod positions I think

I think last time I applied, I pissed off decision makers and they had to delete some of my posts...but I didn't think I was doing anything wrong :O
