They should have more episodes in a season. Or are they just on a super long hiatus? __________________

Well I think that the hiatus is longer than normal , because even with the finaly not being aired they weren't sure wether ABCF would renew it. So from my understanding even though the DVD is slated to come out in Jan with the first 10 episodes, the next 10 episodes we are getting are the "back end" of the first season.

yeah, I thought and think that was weird as well, so maybe they will just call the upcoming 10 episodes Season 2? IDK I've never watched any other show on ABCF so I'm really not sure on how they do things, but a full season for a show is usually 20-22 episodes for example I know that NCIS, Bones, The Mentalist, Grey's Anatomy, Law & Order SVU, etc. all consist of up to 22 episodes per season.

Actually it's still season 1. From last part of this season to this season would equal the same amount of episodes you would get from a regular show.

ABC didnt break anything down. They had ordered only 10 episodes b/c in case the show didnt do well they wouldn't have to dismiss the rest. So since it DID do well they ordered 10 more to complete the season. They were just being safe than sorry.
