So, this is a thread to talk about the Friends gang relationship on the show, how great and close friends they are, all the awesome scenes they have together (like in those thanksgiving ep or the Poker one ect.), of course it doesn't have to specially include the 6 of them we can also talk about about scenes including just 3/4 of them.. ;) And this is also a thread for the Friends cast and their friendship in real life because we all know how really good friends they are, so here you can talk about their interviews, bloopers, post pics (of them at events, from photoshoot..), ect... :)

Do you ever think if the show was on nowdays rather in 90s-early 2000s that it would of been as popular?

I sometimes wish it was on now because of the popularity with twitter and such, would of made it fun to discuss with fans and the stars but honestly... it was at the perfect time, comedy struggles so much these days to remain on, let alone for a whole decade.

^ I'm glad it was on in the 90s. Friends kind of changed the face of comedy so I don't know what it would've been like if it had been on 10 years later. I'm sure it would've been just as popular though.

I got it from our discussion on the last thread. I remember us agreeing that it should be the next title. :)

I watched 2 of the Thanksgiving episodes today, going to watch the rest before I go to bed tonight. It's my tradition every year. :D

I think the fandom would have been more brutal and embarrassing. Plus, watching each year, for one decade, would be so painful! Especially with all that Ross/Rachel drama, it would be too much to handle! :lol:

I am glad it was on in the 90s, because those who were too young are watching and their parents or much-older siblings/cousins watched it the first time around twenty years ago. Now they are older, more mature, and can spoil or discuss with those who were too young back then to have watched.

Another part, though, wishes it was on about seven or eight years later... from 2001/2002 to 2011/2012. Then there was Myspace, then Facebook, and Twitter. The last few years of Friends could have been discussed on Twitter and it definitely would have been interesting to read tweets and discuss the final few episodes of FRIENDS on there.

^ Imagine how we felt in the 90s. :lol: Some of those cliff hangers made the wait so torturous! Like the end of s3-s7. The summer felt so long!

I'm glad Friends wasn't on during the social media age. Fandom can be so vicious and I would've hated to see that kind of stuff with my favorite show.

I agree with that and for me it was nice that there were no spoilers or sneak peeks, I just watched week to week every Thursday night

:high_five: I agree with this so much! Everyone just enjoyed the show and there were actual surprises rather than people telling you what's going to happen before you even get to the episode.
