I always loved Joey's selflessness in the episode where he suggests to Rachel and Ross that they should live together (season 8).

You could see that it broke his heart to say it, but he did so knowing that Ross wanted to live with his child.

That's why I wanted them together -- I had never seen Joey do such selfless and mature things for anyone until Rachel.

It is just something I really do not understand. Because it is only writing obviously, it is not true to characters. Like, Joey & Rachel had a sex problem, ok... But Ross & Rachel had tons of more major and serious problems, but who cares...

^Well yeah, I guess. And I know it wasn't bashing here. So sorry if I've been too "preventive"/cautious too fast, it's just I know discussion can easily go into others things fast so I usually try to be careful about that in threads. I also admit that it's been a while since I've posted on others boards here so may be I'm not used to what "can be say". (And I gotta say I'm probably also more used to see easy characters or couples bashing nowadays around internet in general and I don't mean about Friends especially but for every shows).

Anyway, I didn't want you guys to take it bad or like you couldn't say anything about this

No problem, I think it can just feel frustrating as a Joey/Rachel fan sometimes when you can't get into some real analysis of Ross & Rachel's relationship & how it is relevant to the Joey/Rachel relationship too. Especially when you feel like you have a take on something that a lot of people haven't considered before. We can just have those discussions on the Joey/Rachel thread on the couples board though if that's easier for you

I can understand that. And no, I'm not gonna apply different "rules" here don't worry, if you discuss things at the other thread you can also do it here. Like I said I'm usually just trying to be prudent so it doesn't go "too far" (just like I'll try to be careful if someone post here cause they like JR friendship but start saying too much that they don't like the couple because this or that you know and same in others couples or characters threads) it's not always easy to mod this things but of course discussions can happen I think I usually let people say their opinions in threads and as I said I probably just reacted too fast this time
