Even before reading your comment, I had a Daryl-title in my suggestions.
I went with this one so Nanda who isn't a fan of the show would still be included, but we can change at any time, I just didn't wait until more people were online to open because we were already at post #311.

Maybe the plan is to let Work It fizzles out as fast as possible because they already know it's a lost cause?
I really don't know what kind of factors are at work in decisions like this.

I think SR really is a delusional egomaniac who loves to view himself as this brilliant writer whose writing genius was at the mercy of big, bad ABC the whole time. In the 1.5 years of him as V showrunner, I've only ever seen him own up to 1 thing and that was the bad writing for Tyler and I couldn't even buy it because of the shoddy way he wrote him out.
He does sound like he has quite the ego - but that can be said for 90% of the showrunners out there, lol.
He tried to convince the audience that had ABC let him film all the episodes he wanted, he would've pulled off Emmy-worthy material.
Dude, you wouldn't even know what to put in a those episodes if ABC had said "the hell with it" and given you 15 installments nstead of 13 for the sake of safety.
Quote:
Did Rick even realize that the baby could be Shane's? I wasn't very clear on that.
I... didn't think about the possibility that he hadn't thought about that.
I would like to see if he'll be just as zen as last week if Shane will say anything about the paternity topic, lol.
Oh show, this is so awkward.
Quote:
You too Fran? For 2 weeks, I was mildly amused by people who were considering the possibility of a Daryl/Carol romance because I thought it was so obvious that it was meant to be maternal, but ever since I've seen the promo for next week, I've started to become paranoid too. Geez, I hope this is really only meant to be a mother/son type of relationship.
I went through the exact same stages, lol. I saw comments about Daryl/Carol after the scene with Carol bringing him dinner, but I basically rolled my eyes at people seeing anything romantic in that.
I didn't get any "romantic" vibes, especially looking at how shy/almost boyish Daryl acted afterwards.
But the new promo...

That said - I would take Daryl/Carol over Andrea/Dale. There, I said it.

Daryl doesn't even exist in the comics, we can't even prepare outselves is something crazy is coming our way.
Quote:
Spoiler:
Maybe they are shaking things up on purpose to keep the tension alive (following the canon of the comics closely would mean having part of your audience already know a lot of plot points), although I have no idea how popular the comics even are.

In other news, Ryan Murphy is a sick, sick mother****er of a showrunner. Nothing new there, though.

Appropriate gif is appropriate.

And I feel your pain, Anna. The Avengers and Thor 2 are premiering in May 2012 and 2013 respectively, and I want both NOW.

I bet the show will keep us ranting and giving us lots of material for mocking them in our titles.

Bit of randomness 1: starting reading A Game of Thrones. I'm only 5 pages or so in, but at least I finally did it.

Bit of randomness 2: today I made the first attempt to apply blush. I'm not that bad at make-up when I have to use it (besides the fact that eyeliners are still a mystery to me), but never, ever tried to put blush on.
It was a DISASTER.
I need to check a video tutorial on YT or something, lol.

I watched 'The Debt' yesterday and I loved it. And today I'm gonna watch 'Apollo 18'. It looks like 'Moon'+'Paranormal Activity'. So I think I'm gonna like it I've heard it's bad though.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! I can't wait to read your thoughts on it. Watch the show once you've finished the book Nikolaj would appreciate it I hope you're taking good care of his hair right now

Yeah, Youtube tutorials help a lot. I'm not very good at that either. I attended a make-up course from Sephora 3 or 4 years ago. I don't remember anything

I heard about Apollo 18 around and got curios, let me know if you enjoy it!
I know nothing about The Debt, instead.

LOL, the "bad" side of these big block busters is that the first movie is still in theatres when they announce the sequel, so somehow it feels like you've been waiting for it even longer.

Does the show follow the format of the books, as in 1 season = 1 book?
I could alternate between seasons and novels, in that case.
Nik's hair is looking spendid, don't worry it is in good hands!

That was a good idea! I'm sure some notions are still there in your brain, lol.
I usually stick to mascara and a bit of eyeshadow, and add lipgloss/lipstick and eyepencil from time to time.
I can handle foundation and concealer if it's a special occasion, too.
I never tried blush, but I never thought it was hard, either.
Turns out it might be just as tricky as eyeliner (another thing I never learnt to use).

I just finished watching the sixth episode of Homeland.
So much for me thinking it would be too soon/too out of the blue for Brody and Carrie to hook-up, they pulled a Shane&Andrea in Carrie's car.
But I'm not too concerned about that because the big bomb dropped by the episode was Saul's response about the razor blade in his first polygraph session.
Now, that I didn't see coming. Damn.

It was okay. It was not as bad as I thought it would be, the acting was really good for a "found footage" kind of movie. But it was not scary at all

It's an espionage thriller with Helen Mirren and Sam Worthington. 'NUFF SAID.

That's true As soon as they see they are making money, they announce a sequel. And I'm like YEAAAHZ (Avatar, Paranormal Activity, etc.) But the Star Trek movie premiered in 2009. And the sequel will premiere in 2013

Yes (at least they did that with season 1, I don't know about the following seasons)
Yes, you can do that.

Me too, only for special ocassions. I've tried blush, but I look like Heidi I never learnt to use that either
Eyeliner is my favorite

These movies rarely are. Personally, the only one who sort of got to me was The Blair's Witch Project. All the others I've watched were just a lot of... boringly wait for something to happen.

4 years is a bit too much. Maybe they are taking their time not to have the new franchise "burn too fast", considering how many sequels and prequels have been released for so many titles in the past few years.

They should have given away recap DVDs at the end of the course.

I only tried applying it once years ago, but the disaster was big enough for me to stay away forever afterwards, lol.
I don't really need it much, anyway - when I use the eyepencil, I generally just make a little line at the end of the eye to make it a bit longer, or try to follow the line of the eyelashes roots. I never do a visible trait along all the upper eyelid.

I miss the days when all I needed was lipbalm.

TFTNT! I obviously love the title and completely agree

ABC has some serious issues. Still mad about Cougar Town

Yeah, like Matthew Weiner. And he has four Emmy wins for series so that doesn't help. From the showrunners I know and read a lot of interviews, I think Michael Schur doesn't sound so bad. Oh and Fran, if you have the time read this, really great interview.

I feel the pain too. Arrested Development movie

I'm a disaster with make-up.

I think the only book GoT will follow is the first. They will probably make s2 mostly about book 2 but also a bit of book 3

I was rolling my eyes the whole time I was watching the last Modern Family episode. I came from loving the show to hate it with burning passion (or almost there) :/ I guess this will be the second show I give up on this season

Thanks for the link! Bookmarked it for tomorrow.

Aren't there only 4 books, so far? I guess they don't plan to have too many seasons so they don't care to use too much material at once.

Really? Everyone else I know that watches the show loves it. You find the writing getting worse, or just
I've only watched 1 or 2 episodes so... too little to judge.

I liked the Blair Witch Project, the first Rec movie and all the Paranormal Activity movies. And also Cloverfield. All the other movies were kinda boring (I think I've seen all the "found footage" type of movies there are, I'm a sucker for these kind of movies ) The Fourth Kind with Milla Jovovich was good too, even if it was slow. Movies about aliens don't scare me at all, and this one did. It was so creepy

That's a good idea They gave away a 15 euro discount for Sephora. I bought an eye concealer which was 16 euros, so I only had to pay 1 euro.

I never do that either. I only do it on the lower eyelid. I like it when I see it on other people, but when I do it myself I end up looking like Cleopatra

Could be, but at this point, I'm not even sure where they would try to put Apartment 23 on the schedule. The way I see it, they should have made Apartment 23 their priority because it's one of their more promising prospects this season. They still could have burned off the 13 episodes of Work It during the summer or stuck it on Saturday evenings.

Not only that. He also blamed ABC for constantly interferring with his brilliant ideas for the show and used this as yet another excuse for the choppiness of the story. Not once did he seem to consider the very real possibility that ABC may have interfered as much as they did because his ideas were nonsense.

Yeah, let me just say that the latest episode hasn't helped to ease my fears.

I wouldn't. I'm sorry, but I couldn't care less about characters like Dale or Andrea, and I love Daryl. He has become my favourite character on the show and I don't want him to get stuck in a weird romance with a mother figure like Carol, but knowing my luck, that's exactly the kind of crap I'm going to get.

Five. And it will probably have 7.

Ugh, yes. That's the worse. At least a bunch of people on goldderby dislike it so I don't feel so alone. S1 was good and they deserved that first Emmy. But since s2 it has been terrible imo. This show doesn't go anywhere! The characters are always the same and the episodes always end with cheap sentimentalism. Every character is super annoying too :/
