Does Caroline know Damon is a vampire?
In Family Ties, Caroline and Damon have a conversation about vampires while she's picking a dress for the Founder's Ball. It's clear that at this point, she knows what Damon is and what he's capable of. However, a few episodes later, she tells Bonnie that the supernatural isn't her scene, that she simply doesn't believe in it. Was that just a cover because she can't talk about Damon? Or did he make her forget at one point?

I think she does know, but that Damon has made her forget with his mind control. And like he told her in episode 5 when she went to let him out of the basement that he lets her remember only what he wants her to remember.

I also think that he has made her forgot I thought that was actually an interesting scene with how she knows but later on she seems not to know. It would be interesting to have it that she's able to bring it up on her own and remember that he is

Yeah, i think she may surprise people.. i don't think Bonnie and Elena think she would be able to handle it.

^ I say no. I can't really explain why, but I just don't want him to be. I want him to be a Slayer, because he staked Logan like he's done it before. He was prepared; who else would carry a stake with them about town?

I also have a question: When Damon bit Emily!Bonnie, who did he think he was biting? Emily because she reneged, Bonnie because she was the physical, or just anyone who was closest? (Honestly, it's bothering me that I can't decide.)

Okay, i have a question, 'Who do you all think are the 27 vampires that are in that tomb with Katherine???' My speculation is that they are the 27 confederate soldiers that supposedly set the church on fire, the same night Damon & Stefan got killed. I just wanted to get you all opinions on this cuz when i saw the pilot again and Mr. Tanner ask the question about the battle at Willow Creek. And Stefan mentioned that magic number again "27" and the soldiers, i was just wondering could the 'Evil Undead 27' as i like too call them, could be those soldiers. And if it is, then Who turned them??? but i'm probably wrong about this, so give me you all take on this theory of mine??? 'Thanks!................' d.v.

I don't think so, either. First off, he slayed Logan. Second off, he seems to be very careful around people in general. I think they wanted us to believe he was a vampire by not having him enter Jenna's house (and her stating she wasn't going to invite him in) and the ring. But his ring has a black stone and lapis lazuli are blue stones.

I think in a way, he wanted to take revenge on Emily. Some part of him realized that he was biting "the wrong one", but he just didn't care. He was much to angry to even bother checking or caring whether Bonnie was innocent or not.

Stefan has mentioned that the town's people knew about vampires and such, and that they were hunting them. It was also mentioned that Damon saved Emily's kids and I think they were in danger because she was a witch (and her children obviously, too).
So, I think those are simply 27 vampires that had lived in town. Part of Stefan probably felt that they were innocent, but they are still vampires. Personally, I don't think there are any vampires out there that give up human blood. There might be some like Lexi, but I think back in those days, vampires did kill their prey on a daily basis, which is why they were being hunted.
In a way, Katherine and those 27 had probably built some kind of force and wanted to attack the soldiers (now we know that Katherine had a different plan altogether), but the church was burnt down instead. We don't know yet, whether this happened during night or day, so maybe they were all locked in the church by sunlight?
