I can't believe that I've read a comment from a fan who thinks that Elena may have a minor role in the finale . She believes that Elena may wake up in the halfway of the episode. And she judged it from the photo of the script that Nina posted to confirm her return. According to the fan, it's very thick so that implies not a major role in the finale.

The script is for the whole episode, not only her scenes
She filmed almost for 2 weeks (it seems she had already been on set when she made that post on instagram, according to some extras) I think she's going to wake up at the end of 8x15 __________________
