OUTRUNNING DEATH — When Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) escape from Markos' (guest star Raffi Barsoumian) control, only to find themselves Stranded in a remote location, Stefan gets philosophical with Elena about her relationship with Damon (Ian Somerhalder). After their attempt to protect the dopplegangers goes badly, Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) and Luke (guest star Chris Brochu) come up with a dangerous new strategy. Damon recruits Matt (Zach Roerig) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) to help him set a trap for Markos, who turns out to have a devastating surprise of his own. Bonnie (Kat Graham) finally admits to Caroline (Candice Accola) that she's been keeping the truth about the Other Side from everyone. Finally, while Bonnie searches desperately for a way to stop Markos, Caroline is witness to an unthinkable act of violence by one of the Travelers. Michael Allowitz directed the episode.

What a load of crap

That is not how you kill off one of your leads (even if we know they will find a way to bring him back) What a ********** joke... I am beyond pissed. And that promo was bullcrap. So over it.. I don't know why us Stefan fans stick around for this treatment

This whole episode was about D/E and next week will all be about Damon being the hero.. oh joy, I cannot wait

Paul confirmed on twitter that he's done. He probably asked to be written off. His interviews indicated that he was unhappy with the writing.

Fixed.. although I have seen worse said about Stefan and Stelena in here at times.

I can't change the past, but two wrongs don't make a right, there are rules for this that have to be followed

I never said it did. I am in a foul mood right now and I was ranting about what a sucky episode this was, I didn't realise my mistake until you pointed it out, and I fixed it accordingly. And I am sure you will....

I think Paul is joking around though, don't you guys? I mean trolling!Paul is like a usual thing. I love troll!Paul! I doubt Stefan is actually dead. They're not killing off one of lead characters that easily. Hell Bonnie and Jeremy have died multiple times and find a way to come back. There's no way that Stefan won't be coming back. There's always a way on Sci-Fi shows.

It's ok, you have every right to express your feelings and rants, I'm glad we fixed this

I'll comment this episode after the re-watch, there are some things I didn't understand, right now I'm too much a mess for Stefan's death and the Steroline scene

And, in a good way, for Delena

I think the travellers are far stronger and more dangerous than we could think, looking forward them in the future, I think they'll stick around for long

I think Paul is joking too, there is no chance they killed off one of the lead characters like this

He's going to come back, we have just to see when and how

Stefan isnt gone, nobody stays dead on this show! its just another crazy twist. I have to admit its one I did not see coming until Stefan gave that long gaze to Damon and Elena driving away together, almost like a stop and look moment because something big is gonna happen.

The show is awesome, the twists and turns are like nothing else, I hope it goes on for a million seasons.

If only The Originals could pick up its game!

In general I thought this episode was underwhelming. I enjoyed Damon in torture mode and more Enzo to look at

I still can't get into the Traveler's story.

So how will Stefan's death effect it all now?

I thought Kat Graham did a good job reacting to Stefan's death.

I'm sure Stefan will be back...probably in the next episode.

As soon as I saw Stefan died I was like well now they DEFINITELY are going to find a way to fix everything because there's no way they'd kill a lead character off like that. Maybe not fix it perfectly but Stefan will definitely be back. If Stefan comes back then maybe Bonnie can be saved as well!

I liked the scene between Stefan and Bonnie too! I always enjoyed their dynamic with each other and how Stefan always trusts Bonnie's abilities. He thought she would have known what to do and she did but things just got crazy so fast.

I am so frustrated right now.

Didn't Jeremy come back to life because of WITCH magic? Why was he immune to everything that went on in this episode? I'm so annoyed.
