TVD Episode 4x07: My Brother's Keeper Discussion. Airs November 29th

Damon (Ian Somerhalder) tries to convince Stefan to help him uncover Prof. Shane’s (guest star David Alpay) motives, but Stefan is intent on carrying out a different plan with Klaus (Joseph Morgan). At the annual Miss Mystic Falls Pageant, Elena and Caroline give April (guest star Grace Phipps) advice on which dress to wear, while Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Hayley (guest star Phoebe Tonkin) work together on a secret project, and Damon confronts Prof. Shane with his suspicions. Alarmed by the vivid nightmares he’s having, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) turns to Matt (Zach Roerig) for help, but the situation escalates sooner than anyone expected. Olympic Gold Medalist Gabrielle Douglas also makes an appearance. Rules * Be respectful. Not everybody is going to agree with you, please accept that. Hmm. Elena liked the other dress before Damon came in and liked the red dress. And then Elena said she liked the red dress, too. :lol: Oh, lawd.
And why does Stefan even care about finding this cure? I would be like forget Elena. I guess maybe he thinks if Elena is human again, she will go back with him. ETA: Elena ... is being ridiculous. *sighs* And apparently, Bonnie is the key to everything but she can't be in an episode? Matt/Jeremy can have sexy times. And why is Elena moving into Stefan's house? That is selfish as hell. |
Someone on twitter reminded me that Elena threw up Damon's blood when he thought she would be able to drink it so it kinda kills the theory about the sire bond. Also, Damon never told Elena to reminisce about their dance that happened when she was alive. Damon didn't compel her into wanting to dance with him at the pageant. This sire thing is just Caroline and Stefan having difficulty facing the music with how much Elena has changed without them realizing.

Yeah, but before Elena drank any blood at all, when Stefan was going to take her out hunting, Damon said something about drinking human blood..so I think that was where her "belief" in that came from.
I'm so disappointed that THIS is how they made DE happen. And I feel so sorry for Damon. He thinks he finally has her at this point, and it is just going to crush him when he realises it isn't really real. I feel like the writers just kicked the DE fandom in the gut, and I honestly can't believe how many DE fans are celebrating this episode. Sure didn't seem like a "win" at all to me. Fake sex. Wow. Sexy. :( Elena was acting soooo weird this whole episode. Is this bond supposed to get stronger with time? Otherwise, I don't get why she would be acting like this all of a sudden, except bad writing. I'm kind of annoyed with Stefan, or the way the writers are writing him. They are making it seem like he only wants the cure to "fix" Elena, so that she will be with him again. It isn't very flattering, it just makes him look kind of desperate. On the other hand, I love scenes with him and Caroline! *siiiiiggghhh* Is it too much to ask for them to suddenly start making out?! :lol: |

I dunno..I can completely believe it, because Elena was acting really strange. The way she was interacting with everyone, especially the way she was all fidgety and nervous and practically blushing around Damon...it didn't feel "organic" to me. What other explaination could there be?

I just think she was over whelmed to be around him. Also anxious because she has finally admitted that she wants to be with him, but she had to go through that whole pageant thing and then there was her brother missing so she had to wait even longer.

All I got from this episode is that Damon and Elena's scenes were really hot. They do ooze chemistry.
Also, it is quite interesting, that Caroline can't accept Elena as a vampire, a bit like Matt couldn't handle Caroline when she turned. Stefan is trying to fix her to be like she was when she was human. I did feel a bit bad for Elena when she spilled it out to Damon. I'm not really buying the blood sire thing, hasn't Damon's blood turned others before, and it never was an issue before. Also, Elena has had feelings for Damon for 2 seasons now, are the writers trying to erase that by this sire bond? They have had long build up, it's BS to think that Elena as "un-sired" would not want Damon. There was no sire bond in 3x19. |

Caroline is not falling for Klaus, imo. She loves Tyler and is only making Klaus believe they broke up. She is still actively trying to bring him down.

Omg Elena moving into the Salvatore house is the stupidest thing ever!! :lol: Does she not have 2 female friends she could live with. :rolleyes: Its like she has no respect for the brothers relationship.
Caroline - was so annoying this episode. There is caring and then there is over bearing. :rolleyes: not to mention she is kinda hypocrite i.e Klaus. DE - were hot. Not sure what to make of this "sire" bond. whatever they are more interesting than SE ever were in 3 seasons of cheese. |
