wow. alaric goes from saying "i love you" for the first time to proposing all in one episode. and i cant believe jo is pregnant. OMG

i loved how happy damon was to see bonnie when she returned at the end

so caroline turning off her emotions. this should be interesting.

and kai now has all of jo's magic. he is going to be super powerful/dangerous now.

I don't buy Jolaric, period, so I'm disappointed that not only is she pregnant, they're engaged. I really wanted Jo to disappear sometime soon, so it blows that she'll be sticking around. It isn't that I hate her or something, I just have no feelings regarding her at all.

Stefan's weird line about "this could be even better" or whatever it was... These writers really suck. What did that even mean? I hate how every time this show does a new relationship, they've always got to try to make whatever came before, less somehow.

While I didn't like that this episode had so much Damon focus, him doing the eulogy really didn't bother me much. I hate his and Caroline's past, but Damon and Liz were established as "friends" very early on in the show, so whatever. It isn't like we saw her being best buds with anyone else.

Hated that with all the history Tyler and Caroline had, they just completely ignored that.

I'm not particularly interested in Mama Salvatore.

The Bamon hug was the cutest and most genuine thing in the whole episode. They are very natural around each other.

I didn't find the episode particularly sad, but I did think the opening scene was cute and sad, with young Caroline. It's true. You never grow out of needing your parents. (as someone who lost my Dad when I was 16, this resonated with me)

Jolaric being rushed aside; called it. When Steven/JP spoke about Jeremy returning for funerals, weddings. Jeremy has to attend their wedding.

Oh Stefan This poor dude just never gets a fracking break.. more guilt over something that he has no control over. I am so sick of the writers doing this to Stefan. SC needs to go away.. this whole season has been awful to and for Stefan

Calling it now; one of 2 things will happen:

- Jolaric will have the next Gemini twins and try to figure out a way to protect them from the coven

or

- Jo will miscarry (cause I find it hard to believe that this show will have a baby)

I have to agree - to find out that the reason Caroline wanted to know his feelings on the day of her mother's funeral was because she wanted to use that as a deciding factor in whether she should turn off her humanity or not is unfair. Stefan is going to blame himself for this and think "if I just told her how I felt sooner maybe she wouldn't have switched off her humanity". I would have preferred if she did it only because the grief over her mom.

I didn't like that she switched it off at all BTW. Been there, done that. Even if she'll be a bit different from Elena, it's still the same SL.

The episode was "okay" Caroline singing reduced me to tears, I recently lost someone and that song was very touching. Candice rocked it! Bamon scene was the show stealer. Bonnie, for someone with broken toes and nine blisters you sure ran and jumped with no signs of pain. Cute scene though!

Stop thinking like me! I'm also having these doom and gloom scenarios in my head. But I actually went as far as Jo having the baby next season and then dying (kind of cheesy but a lot of this is.) Then again, I really believe the writers want Alaric to be happy with a woman for once, so if something tragic is gonna happen, it's gonna be a miscarriage. All in all, super hunter/witch coven twins seems the most likely.

OMG, I have so many feelings. What is happening? I really love love love the latest episodes. I feel more connected to the characters and to the dynamic between the characters. For me it's been addressed so well Where do I start?

Slumber party: Great idea! Too bad the bounding scenes were offscreen. I would love to thee a slumber party with almost the whole gang together.

Funeral: Beautiful

Elena: I loved her scenes. She was an amazing friend to Caroline. She was so right about worrying for Caroline. I thought from te preview clip Caroline was way too focesed on today (like tere's no tommorow) and Elena felt it too. Elena said and did all the right things. To Damon too.

Tyler/Matt: Finally, some Matt/Tyler bounding again I understand Tyler not handeling it very well and Matt calling him out for it. Love the idea of them becoming the new badass cops in town.

Kai: Dude is funny as hell Can't wait to see how his magic turns out to be and where he's ging to need it for.

Alaric/Jo: I like them (though Alaric/Jenna have a special place in my heart) and I'm glad Jo came in to Alaric's life. She was so right about the pity proposal and I loved how Alaric handled all the news and talking about choices due her pregnancy.


Bonnie: SHE'S BACK Loved her hug with Damon.

Damon: His character has been growing on me. From his experiences I can see why he gave that piece of advice to Stefan and Caroline. His way of saying goodbye at Liz's funeral was heartbreaking, Stefan/Damon flashback

Stefan: He didn't do anything wrong.

Caroline: She was so fierce not take advice from Damon and calling him out. I can feel all her heartache, sorrow and pain. And I understand why she's flipping of humanity. I loved her calling Elena and Stefan out on their mistakes. But this was Caroline's breaking point.


Caroline/Stefan: I knew she's was wanting to label their kiss/them/friendship. Stefan never said to Damon in their scene that he didn't have feelings for Caroline, just it was different.
But how can you seriously have a talk about their feelings when there's like an open coffen with Liz on the background and a funeral you're attending at. I understand Stefan for saying all those things and then hug her at the end.
I know Stefan loves Caroline, but it's a different kind of love. He was so right. And I'm glad he wanted to tell Caroline once he realised it.

Caroline scwitching humanity off: I can understand with all the reasons she has giving to Elena Damien Rice on the background again was seriously killing me
