The Originals 2x02: Alive & Kicking

Description: GUEST STAR NATHANIEL BUZOLIC APPEARS IN FLASHBACKS TO THE 1700s — As tensions between Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) grow, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) steps in and encourages her to regain her position within her werewolf pack. Still under Davina’s (Danielle Campbell) control, Mikael (Sebastian Roche) grows impatient while she attempts to uncover a spell that would protect those closest to her. When Elijah turns to Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) for help in tracking down a vital piece of information, he is forced to remember a time long ago when they were on better terms. Meanwhile, Davina and Kaleb (guest star Daniel Sharmon) find themselves in a dangerous situation when unexpected visitors show up and crash their dinner. Finally, Klaus grows suspicious after a meeting with Cassie (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss) doesn’t go as he had planned.

Pretty rad episode I think.

Klaus - Loved your flashback scenes with Kol, but in real time you bored me. Enough with the werewolves unless it's your own pack.

Elijah - Dick to Kol, guess that's why you didn't grieve him or mention his death. You had no cares. I did feel bad that you felt the need to be a d-bag to Marcel, but you always put Klaus above your own happiness so I get it. Looking forward to him mentoring the new vamp chick.

Kol - Flashbacks were hilarious. I love you even if you're mean

Hayley -

Not much to care about there. So not here for her werewolf politics.

Marcel - Not sure why you aren't going to mentor the new vamp, but whateves. Not much happening with you, but loved your cute scenes with Davina.

Davina - My girl

. Love you, but hun what did you expect to happen bringing back Mikael? Cuteness overload with Koleb though

Koleb - Damn dude

. Loving Daniel playing Kol. He definitely captures Kol's character and sass perfectly. Making this hard on me cause I love Nate as Kol

Boring. Would be better if you went to your original bodies...pun intended

Mikael - Loved seeing you kick some ass and not act like a caged beast, but no touching Davina.

Quite slow episode but there were some scenes that I really enjoyed!

Esther: "She would tell you to go to your room for being so rude..."

I really enjoyed the Esther in this episode, still not loving the young actress but I'm getting used to her.

Mikael was freaking A too, I mean I would have not appreciated him killing Davina but we know they can't kill the girl for the second time in a row, they have to give her a break. I liked him to, he looked all boss when murdering all those basic bitches.

Elijah you looked handsome again, that beard suits you.

Kol/Kaleb was GREAT, I enjoyed the flashbacks but it helped me see how Daniel is a better actor than Nathaniel and now I'm unsure of what I want for the rest of the season... I am attached to Nate and he has great chemistry with the cast but Daniel is really good!

Marcel actually made me smile a couple times, we're going forward him and me.

Klaus was good, just found it boring when he was with Hayley searching for her pack and he didn't really do much but he didn't bother me.

Ehhh. Better acting or not, it's an insult to keep him that way.

Daniel was great and I was impressed, but it's so cheap to keep him as Kol. Especially when they no longer have excuses for not bringing Nate back. I want Daniel to become Kaleb eventually, whom we know is a witch. But Daniel as Kol is a good way to make people curious about Kaleb, for when the time comes. He doesn't have to be Kol forever in order to stay on the show.

I actually am not sure if Kaleb is a witch. Kol is...or was before he was turned. So I think that Koleb has magic because of Kol.

But when you possess a human body don't you get your original powers? Like when Klaularic compelled Katherine. So I find it weird that Kol is a witch instead, I just assumed that's because of Kaleb.

Me too, because Finn got NOTHING on him, and I assume the reason why Cassie is powerful is because she was already a witch, she knows the spells and the tricks, she might not be as powerful but still useful?

, but Koleb told Davina that he was unable to practice magic for so long because of his controlling mother. Plus Klaus was technically alive when he possessed Alaric. Kol being dead and then brought back seems he's human/witch now because that was his original state before turning.
