Since I'm sure we all like and dislike different characters and story lines, there will probably be story lines on VPD as well, that we won't like. Or characters we'll loathe.

So, I figured we could have a rant thread, where we can say what we need to say about a character or event and get it out of our systems

There are a few rules we should stick to in order for this thread to remain peace- and respectful:

• No name calling ("bimbo", "bitch", "*******" etc.).
• No personal comments towards fellow posters (e.g. "How could you...?" or "You're stupid.").
• No bashing the actors.
• Stay nice.

Also, everything written/posted here is to be taken with a grain of salt.
If you think a comment or post was too offensive and/or has crossed the border of bashing or violetes any other rules here at , please PM a moderator. Do not reply to the post, just PM one of them. They'll deal with it accordingly.

Right now, I have a bit of an issue with Elena, to be honest.
Don't get me wrong, I know she has a lot on her plate right now and she needs to process the whole "my boyfriend is a vampire" thing, but she comes off as very self righteous.
Stefan didn't choose to become a vampire, but he did choose not to feed on humans. Did she ask him why? No, instead she asked him if he used mind control on her. Sweetie, if he would, you wouldn't know he's a vampire because he'd make you forget! I didn't get the feeling that she wanted to know more about vampirism and what it meant to him and how dangerous it is and such, but she wanted to know more about Katherine and that back story. Yes, that plays a part, but it's not what you need to know right now. And all along, she already had rejection written all over her face. Is that understandable? Yes. Is it understandable she freaked? Yes. Is it understandable that you tell someone who obviously chooses to go against his nature that he "chose this"? No. He's done nothing but help her so far.
But what really pissed me off was her comment in the promo when Stefan says something about Vicki being "confused and compulsive" and Elena says "So, she's a vampire with ISSUES?!" in such an arrogant tone it made me want to slap her. This is coming from the girl who should KNOW what it means having your life torn out from under your feet and adjusting to a new one (I'm talking about her parents' death). Can she not imagine what Vicki must feel like? It's a huge change in her life, she constantly wants blood but she doesn't want to drink it; all of the relationships she has with other people will change because of this. And she's not allowed to be confused and compulsive? What the hell, Elena, really. You pride yourself with being so "understanding" when really you don't understand at all...

I'm total agreeance on the Elena issue.

She pissed me off royally in this episode.
Yes, i get that she is scared and alot has happened and now she has to deal with the fact that her boyfriend is a vampire.
It seemed to me that she only wanted the facts and didn't really care to know any other details. Like why Stefan doesn't feed on humans.
I got the feeling that she was placing everything to blame on Stefan. Damon was the one who used mind control, Damon was the one who killed all those people. But yet she acts like Stefan is the one who is in the wrong here.

Elena was VERY self righteous in this episode, and it seems like that doesn't change next week either. I feel lime she spent the whole episode talking down to Stefan and sine he's the only that'll listen to her pretty much blaming him for everything. Not cool Elena.

She asked for the truth. But IMO she wasn't ready to hear it. And she seriously thought that after everything, Stefan would use mind control on her?? Even after he told her how Katherine used it on him?

And here I thought I was the only one who thought so. And Queen Bee, I agree, she even blamed him for Vickie drinking blood, which he really had no influence over. Especially considering the options were

a) kill her
b) let her die
c) let her feed

What would she have wanted him to do?

The mind control comment was stupid

OMG I can't believe that she got mad that Stefan "allowed" Vicki to drink blood. He had just gotten shot with a wooden bullet, what the heck did she want him to do? I can bet that she would've been pissed had Stefan left her to die too she's just looking for excuses to be mad at him and push him away. I'm not going to be surprised if she blames Stefan for Vicki being crazy next week.

And really, the mind control comment? Elena, honey, if he were using it on you, do you think he would TELL you?

Exactly. I have a feeling Elena's gonna annoy me next week to. When Damon was like "don't look at me with those judgy little eyes" all I could think was that Stefan should've told her that. Her eyes were full if judgement the entire episode, start to finish.

Yeah, and that's another thing that annoyed me a little: Stefan is so smitten, he does not stand up for himself. I really hope he's gonna have backbone next episode and tell her off for talking about Vicki like that
And yeah, Damon's always telling the truth She had "REJECTION" written all over her face from the second he told her. How brave of her to go to his house and yell at him "What are you?" and when he tells you, you run away.
