I've loved Haylijah from day one and that's been said before but I'll be keeping the faith in my couple.

As many on here are aware, I don't give up on Haylijah easily and I will be sticking with them to the bitter end, even if that means heartbreak.

Well that's absolutely ridiculous but Haylijah will always be endgame to me.

It is ridiculous if you take into consideration that while they are breaking up the character of Elijah and Hayley because Elijah attack Hayley in episodes 4X10 (which was the only time Elijah ever hurt Hayley) , yet they are promoting Kol and Davina although Kol actually killed Davina.


However I think the split between Elijah and Hayley will be short lived.

I agree on both accounts.

First of all, Plec has a long history of putting together toxic couples and then banking everything on those couples. I don't think there's a single ship on TVD that's free of abuse of any kind but vampires are all kinda animals so we let it go. Am I supposed to buy that Plec now suddenly developed a conscience and Haylijah's the line she won't cross?? What a load of crap lol

Of all the ships Plec has written, Haylijah is the least toxic by far so I'm sorry but I'm calling bullshiot Julie Plec

I also agree this will be short lived for 2 reasons: one, the Haylijah fanbase is too big and vocal and JP will be backpedaling in no time and two, JP is extremely fickle and she'll no doubt change her mind before the inks even dry on next season. This is just Julie Plec being a drama queen

I agree. Haylijah is the least toxic. Elijah had never harm Hayley. I think episodes 4X10 was the first time I ever seen him hurt her. But it doesn't make sense because the entire time Elijah was dead/ unconscious .He had no control over the situation. So I'm calling bull**** on that as well. I think the real reason they are ending the relationship is because they want to appeal to younger viewer. They are trying to go after TVD core audience. So they probably will bring in someone young and fresh for Hayley's love interest.

Exactly, Elijah wasn't even awake when he did this! Elijah's mind was shattered and he was buried deep within a thousand years of horrific dark memories, he didn't even realize it was Hayley he was attacking so how can he possibly be held accountable for it?

Imo if Klaus can get away with all the horrific things he's done then Elijah should get a pass on this. Also, let's not forget that Hayley's no angel either.

Elijah and Hayley have both done unspeakable things but they make each other better and that's what makes a great couple - when the individual characters are better together than they are apart.

There's are a lot of characters that are worst then Elijah. Kol for 1. Personally vampire and werewolves are monsters by nature.

No, Hayley remembers. It's only Elijah that doesn't remember Hayley and his family. Klaus and probably Rebekah knows what Elijah asked Marcel to do.

I hate that they make it liked Elijah was abusive, or crazy just for trying to protect Hope. Hayley had people killed for a less noble reason. (Re:12 hybrids) When the show returns I hope they give Elijah a new love interest. Maybe they will bring in a old love of his.

Eh, his old love interests were always afraid of him or treated him badly or made it out like he wasn't good so I don't want him with anyone from his past. Not to mention, they built Haylijah up to the point where anyone else for either of them would make no sense at all. And since they basically had Hayley be like, "we only have to end because of Hope," once Hope is older the door is open for HE to get back together. But I do think we may get Elijah with another love interest next season....but nothing permanent since for him it'll always be Hayley and vice verse.
