In this scene in Wuthering Heights, Heathclliff confronts Catherine for choosing Linton over him when she knew she belonged with Heathcliff:
“You teach me now how cruel you've been - cruel and false. Why did you despise me? Why did you betray your own heart, Cathy? I have not one word of comfort. You deserve this. You have killed yourself. Yes, you may kiss me, and cry; and wring out my kisses and tears: they'll blight you - they'll damn you. You loved me - what right had you to leave me? Exactly! He really hasn't. He never actually dealt with his feelings. He went directly from begging Katherine to take him back, to obsessing about werewolves to other things without confronting Katherine on her betrayal. He just buried it and moved on.

What I never understood was, Damon seemed to always be so in love with Katherine, even while Elena was around. I truly believe he would have chosen Katherine over ELena if that choice were ever provided. It's strange how no one has acknowledged this, not Damon or Elena or any other characters.... __________________

^I tooootally agree! Seriously! Its like he had an immediate tranferrence from Katherine to Elena. We actually saw this in 2x01. As soon as Katherine rejected him he went to Elena. We never saw him gradually get over her. Then he tells Katherine that he would have never risked his life for her like he did with Elena. Just...confusion.  The most frustrating thing is lack of development for Kat. The writers refuse to build her as her own character. __________________

So now that Katherine killed Jeremy...Datherine is over? Like completely? No straws grasp at all?
 I had hope for Season 4 but now I don't see Damon being with Katherine after what she did.__________________
