It is so funny going back and re-watching clips...that out of all of the guys on the show, Klaus is actually there for her. She doesn't end up being in second place with him. And in one clip where she was asking for a prom dress, he seemed agitated, but still was there for her. I just thought that was interesting.

That's true. The biggest one that comes to mind was when he was in Tyler's body and rescued Caroline over Rebekah. He had time to at least break the straps holding her in the van, but he left her and ran off with Caroline. That scene actually makes me mad, but it also shows Klaus putting Caroline over his own family.

^ It used to make me angrier, but than I saw the amount of time Rebekah put men before her family. But well, she wasn't in any real danger, if she was I think Klaus would have a much more difficult choice ahead.

this is one of the reasons I loved them so much and one of the reasons I missed them so much this past year. Caroline has no one (besides her mom, but she's just human and she's barely there) to put her first anymore, Stefan would never choose her over Damon and Elena, Bonnie would never choose her over Elena, Elena is the most selfish bitch on the planet, she's never choose anyone over Caroline and Tyler already proved that he'd choose revenge over her, which is understandable in some level, but still sucks. This is why I wanted Caroline to go darker and become a lot more selfish. I know she's already selfish in a way, but she'd still risk her life to save these morons. You also said another reason why I miss them, Caroline could make Klaus laugh and forget his worries even if for just a little while. No one can do that now and he really could use some brighten up these days.

And now I'm sad.

I wasn't that happy because Klebekah is my brOTP, so it was my OTP getting in the way of my brOTP and that was no fun. Also, Klaus's mistreatment of his family always annoyed me.
