7x22: Gods and Monsters - May 13th

THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE — Despite their best efforts to help Bonnie (Kat Graham) through the harrowing predicament she now faces, Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and Caroline (Candice King) realize their options are running out and drastic measures need to be taken. With their only chance of saving their friend lying inside the Armory, Stefan (Paul Wesley) breaks the news to Caroline that they may need help from an unlikely source – her and Alaric’s twin daughters. Elsewhere, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) keeps Bonnie preoccupied by bringing her back to their cabin but when his plan takes an unexpected turn, it’ll be up to Damon to make the ultimate sacrifice to save his closest friends. Zach Roerig also stars.

Since I watched only ONE scene, I'm going to comment that I loved every sec of it, and how they played Elena's memory in trick Damon in the vault, so meaningful

And I may even be interested in Damon's SL next year, depends how they'll handle it

Episode was alright I guess. Idk, I wasn't really paying much attention.

bonnie/enzo are fine. They are cute I guess. I just dont feel much when I watch them together but I still haven't warmed up to Enzo.

I'm glad alaric wised up and told caroline to stay. I'm still bitter they went that route. I hope he finds love again next season.

The DE stuff was great. As a shipper I can't help but love it, but I dont think Nina will be back so what is the point?

I'm not sure how I feel about this episode.

I love that Stefan & Caroline have a chance, now, but I had that Alaric gets his heartbroken, yet again. Can they not give that poor guy a break?

And Enzo. Come on. I was really starting to love him. I mean, I've always liked him... but I loved the gentle side of him that Bonnie seemed to bring out, and how he would do anything to save her, and now this happens. So disappointing.

Damon. I can't really say that I'm surprised they went that route, but bad suits him better than him trying to be good.

The thaw scene between Stefan and Caroline was really cute. I just loved watching them working together through the episode.

Their hug after Stefan came out of the vault!

The Bonnie and Enzo scenes were sad I guess but IDK, i just don’t feel that much for them. Their ending scene was great though. I love that Bonnie apologized to Damon too.

I did love the Stefan/Damon scene a lot. It was sort of a goodbye because Damon didn’t know what he was walking into. But I love their brother moments and the hug was adorable.

Damon burning the everlasting was a fantastic moment. Loved watching Damon be the hero. And seeing Caroline’s scar disappear was great!

It was so big of Alaric to let Caroline go and be with Stefan. He knows that she doesn’t love him. I think the family situation confused things. I feel really bad for Alaric, but its true that she never got over Stefan and her heart is with him. I love that Alaric said they would always be a family. I wish Alaric had been like this the entire time instead of showing hostility towards Stefan.

Poor Matty.

His hallucination of Penny was really sad. Poor guy has been through the ringer. It would have been nice to see him get some happiness.

I still love Matty even though he is problematic sometimes. It's sad that no one went to go look for him but I guess they didn't know he was in the accident. Good for him leaving at the end!

THE FINAL STEFAN/CAROLINE SCENE, MY BABIESSSSSS. THEIR KISS WAS SO SOFT AND SWEET AND GENTLE.

The flashbacks of DE!

Damon hearing her voice! GUHHHH NOOOO BABYYYYY. Nina's voiceover was awesome! So glad she did that. Enzo was a bit of a dummy going to open the vault without back up! But it was sweet of him to do that for him.

Watching Stefan trying to open the door and get him out was sad. Poor Bonnie losing Damon and Enzo!

The ending did sort of feel tacked on? I wonder if they changed it all last minute after they knew they were renewed.

In all though it wasn’t my favorite episode and not the strongest finale the show has had. All the running at the beginning just kinda dragged on and felt repetitive.

wow. what a season. I really don't care for most of the stuff going on in this show anymore. one more short season.
