To be fair they didn't really give any character a proper reaction to Tyler's death. Even Damon, who actually killed him, gave no indication that it affected him after getting his humanity back. I mean what was the point of Tyler's final scene/speech if Damon didn't seem to give af?

As annoyed as I am about Caroline seeming so nonchalant about Tyler's death it's almost worse that his final moments were completely meaningless.

I haven't watched the eps, but from what I heard it wasn't even about Damon feeling guilty afterwards but him being worried that he had done something that Elena wouldn't forgive him for.....& Damon murdering Tyler wasn't even mentioned. Nope, instead Damon got this whole 'better man' speech & him living happily ever after & no one giving a damn that he killed Tyler.

I wish the writers just hadn't brought him back at all.

Damon didn't feel guilty about killing Tyler they should of showed Damon having remorse

I wish Tyler didn't come back either. Then we could have just lived with knowing he was out there living his life helping other wolves…and maybe someday run into Caroline again :sigh:.

Clearly she was talking out of her arse since it literally had no impact on anyone - which was the real tragedy :(. Tyler was such an integral character to the show - since the beginning - he deserved to have a real impact. If he "had" to die then it should have been something that was felt throughout the rest of the season, but it was barely a blip.

Exactly, the only reason it would have to be Tyler to die would be if it was actually going to have a big impact on the season & change what the characters were doing, which it didn't at all....

I think they did it just to get him out of the way

But he was already pretty much off the show :(

Yeah, that's why it was so dumb. He was already off the show so they could have just left him alone or they might as well have killed him when he left in season 6 then.

I would have rather we had never heard from him, at least that way I could have pretended that he lived a happy life :sigh:

Tyler storyline started to go down hill
Season two loved it when Tyler first turned werewolf that was a beautiful storylone
He got the bad end of the stick I later seasons like they didn't care

I'm surprised Matt lived to the end as well - honestly, when you look at his storylines, I never got the impression that the writers cared about him very much, he was just another spare part to them imo :shrug: I guess they just wanted to keep him around because he was the only human left....

& Tyler was definitely screwed over, a lot of characters on this show were, but I don't think anyone got it as bad as him even though he did the least terrible things (aside from Matt) imo :(

I'm not actually. :lol: Julie said before that she would never kill Matt and that one I believed.
