To fans of TVD board:

As you may have noticed, we are merging with TO board

Their mods informed me they have some anti-threads in their board, generally used so trolls don't go to appreciate threads of this or that couple. We're discussing if to keep them or not after the merge; considering TVD board don't have nor ever had them, I'd like to know your opinion, feel free to share it here

Basically I'd like to know if you'd want them too in TVD board so there is no disparity between TO/TVD fandoms, or if they make you feel uncomfortable and you'd prefer them gone at all, or if you agree to let TO fandoms keep them but not to introduce them in the TVD context.

Let me know

By my part I have no prejudice about them nor I mind them, so if any of you want one to be created, in full compliance with civil rules, I'd create them for you.

Since I doubt you'd like my suggestion to "delete them and let the haters come into the fan threads and get massacred" I vote to keep them.

For me, I dislike anti threads and I've never been apart of one. I'm with the belief, if you don't like them, there is no need to discuss them. lol

However, if it's easier for people who really hate a character or a ship to discuss them, that's up to them.

It doesn't matter either way to me since I won't post on them. lol

I'm completely fine with anti-threads. I never posted in one myself but time from time I like to lurk and I actually find them amusing and sometimes maybe even educating.

So, my vote is, I don't mind having anti threads for TO and TVD.

I mean, I think the easiest way is just to keep them, not start any new ones. If people want to start anti-TVD threads for any particular aspect (anti-Delena, anti-Steroline, anti-Elena, anti-Damon, anti-whatever) let them!

I never liked anti-threads either, but now that I think about it, an anti-Elena thread seems so inviting! I always wanted to express my not so favourable opinion of her but could do it nowhere really.

I kinda like anti threads, i think they are interesting and its nice to see some people share some mutual hate.

If someone doesnt like it then they dont have to go in there, its really that simple.

If the Originals has anti threads, tvd should have them too. I think it can be civilized.

Agreed.

I've been a part of TVD board since the beginning and I've seen the way hate for characters, pairings etc. can divide the fandom. I think no matter what if the hate is somewhere on the board, it will spread to other threads in the board. That ends up causing more drama (i.e. remember when the three strike rule had to be enforced frequently?). There are a plethora of places to go if someone wants to hate on TVD characters, couples etc. on the internet, including other threads on Fan Forum. I don't think this board should be another.

I wouldnt mind Anti threads.. I mean like I said you dont have to go in it I like everyone else likes the discussion that goes into them
