Add me Court. I grew up on this show. I remember when I was little we would watch the Simpsons and then it would be bed time.

Thanks for starting this thread, which goes along well with the board. I`ve said it before and i`ll say it again that The Simpsons is one of the greatest shows of all time. I remember very well seeing all of the classic episode when they first aired. Plus i`m sure everyone remembers when the show was moved to Thursday opposite The Cosby Show. It was such a big deal back then that TV Guide had it hyped up as Bart vs. Bill. :lol: Of course we all know that Bart and Company were the winners by far. ;) BTW i like to be added to the list.

I think it's one of my favourite shows of all time too :nod: I think the quality has declined in the past six or so years but during the 90's it was at its best :)

I haven't watched the show in forever. I'll catch episodes every now and then but I don't watch it like I did when I was little. I think I stopped watching regularly when I was abou 13. My mom had remarried and the guy didn't like Bart so we weren't allowed to watch Bart Simpson, so I would tell him I'm watching Lisa Simpson.

:lol: I don't understand what was wrong with Bart .. I think Homer is way worse :lol:

I agree. I remember one day at work we were talking about The Simpsons and my boss at the time was saying how he used to let his oldest daugther watch it and when she got old enough to understand it she wasn' allowed anymore. :lol:

:rotfl: My mum and dad would watch with me so it was never a problem in my house but I know heaps of my friends weren't allowed to watch it.

I agree with you on the quality of the show. I see The Simpsons as an aging athlete that isn`t as fast and strong as it used to be back in it`s prime, but they`ll show flashes of it`s old self.

As for being allowed to watch the show, my parents had no problem with me watching it.
