i find that so many people miss out on the great story because the way they talk puts them off if your not someone that can stand much shakespere then its hard but the way its shot the visual side of it along with the story and music is what makes it so amazing.

^ It's always weird for me when people say they can't understand Shakespeare because this movie made complete sense to me when I was like 13.

it didn’t turn out the way you wanted it to, did it?
now you know this is what it feels like

Shakespear can me difficult to understand, but wasn't this movie a more modern version and not with all that Shakespear talk?

Still need to actually watch this movie. I remember when I read the play in high school I wasn't impress.

The setting is the "modern" world but the language is Shakespearian. Kind of strange, but it worked rather well. Shakespear only confuses me when I try to read it. When I hear it out loud I have no problems with it. Maybe I'm just weird like that. English was my subject in school.

I've never seen this movie before, but I'm thinking Leo may be worth tracking it down and watching it for!

^ I think it's because Shakespeare wasn't meant to be read, it was meant to be heard.

Yep, he made me like Romeo and I usually can't stand the guy.

Can I be added?

I remember watching this movie when I was 11 years old, hidden in my parents' room, afraid they would walk in on me while the love scene was happening . I loved the film then and I still love it now.

Leo and Claire were perfect and they had amazing chemistry .
