so far so good. my nieces had their first swim team match the other day. the won. the girls realized how out of shape they were though cuz they didnt do it last year but they did the year before. so now they realized they need to show up at practices more often

its been in the high 80s and low 90s here. very hot and humid out. they keep calling for storms but we have yet to get any

July was a good month. nothing special really went on
I feel like this summer went by fast though

When did summer start for you?

July has definitely been a mixed bag

It started off pretty rough with me injuring my foot pretty badly and then finding out one of my aunts had passed away unexpectedly within a few days

But then I got to have some nice family reunions with family I haven’t seen in a while after that

Definitely in general summers feel like they go by faster to me as an adult compared to when I was a kid

summer break started on June 9th

how did you injure your foot ?

That’s like a week after I started

Makes sense you would go back later then

It was kind of dumb how I injured it but basically I was at a county fair on July 1st

And I decided to ride the carousel

And then when I was getting off the horse stopped moving at a pretty high height and I had to jump because my legs are short

And I crashed my left foot when I landed

Idk if the impact would’ve been less if I had been wearing sneakers instead of sandals but my foot hurt so much from the moment I landed

And it hurt so much to walk for the rest of the day

I spent a lot of time resting after that with my feet up in the shade

The bruising became more apparent as the day went on from my pointer toe and it spread downwards

It’s pretty much fully healed but it definitely took a while for the bruising to go down

I hurt my ankle last October and its still not complete healed.
and the bruising lasted months before it went away.
