The cruelest villains from our favorite childhood movies
Harry and Marv, “Home Alone” Petty thieves at the beginning of the first movie, the two burglars (played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) become truly cruel by the end of the second movie. Since Kevin McCallister keeps messing up their plans, they’re constantly trying to hurt him, even though he’s only eight years old! The best performances by child actors of all time
Macaulay Culkin, Home Alone, 10 It’s impossible to imagine any other young actor playing the role of Kevin McCallister, not even comedian John Mulaney, who was asked to audition for the part. Before Home Alone, Culkin had starred in another John Hughes film, Uncle Buck. It had been a scene from that movie involving the young actor that inspired Hughes to come up with the story for Home Alone. Director Christopher Columbus auditioned roughly 200 kids for the part, but in the end it was clear that Culkin was born to play the role of Kevin McCallister.
