s3 is my least favorite season for Dawson and he was extremely out of character the majority of that season. Go figure.

^ I only saw that episode once but I remember it quite well. The repetitive day thing was so annoying.

Well, we might want to save that talk for the DJo thread. But I always thought it was obvious she'd always have feelings for Dawson, no matter where she was or who she was with.
What did you guys think of the Mitch/Gail storyline in s1? __________________

I do like Mitch/Gail. I also liked Henry/Jen. Hopefully people haven't forgotten about them. Jen/Drue I liked. Jen/Dawson were ok. I loved Dawson/Gretchen though.

As a P/J Fan, I know that Joey surely has a soft spot for Dawson. They were together first, he was her first love so they will always be connected in some ways
Anyway, Mitch and Gail were fine in s1. They really had an intense up in Hurricane (is it that episode?) and was really surprised that Gail cheated. __________________

Gail's affair was devastating and I like that it was presented as such. I feel so bad for Mitch in s1, he never saw it coming. Great acting from all the actors though, especially in Hurricane.
I don't remember much about Henry/Jen but I do remember liking them. I also liked Dawson/Gretchen, besides DJ and PA, they were one of my favorite ships on the show. __________________

Yeah, it was really sad when Mitch/Gail temporarily broke up - It did have a big effect on Dawson.

^ For sure. Watched Discovery last night and I think that whole thing is why Dawson felt so strongly about secrets and lies. He saw how destructive that was and didn't want that in his own life. He was right, lies destroy everything. Everyone in that episode was lying to him in some form or another. I could understand why he lashed out at Joey and pulled away from Jen. Jen led him to believe she was just the girl next door and Joey withheld important information. They had their reasons for doing it but I can understand why he reacted as he did. He was under a lot of pressure.

Dawson went through a lot of growth in s4 and s5. It makes up for how he was written in s3. Sort of.

^ I actually really liked them and their relationship. They were sweet.
Watched Hurricane a few days ago. Great great episode! All the tensions that had been building up for the last few episodes finally exploded in this episode. Great acting here all around, especially between Mitch and Gail. That scene in the car was so intense, "I've decided I don't want to love you anymore." The fall out was expected and understandable but still heartbreaking. Affairs are heartwrenching and I'm glad the show acknowledged the damage it did to everyone involved, Gail included. I understood where Dawson's hurt and anger came from, but I'm glad he listened to Grams and decided to forgive all the lies--with his mother, Jen, and Joey. Forgiveness is powerful indeed. I like that we finally got to see another side to Grams in this episode. It was nice to see her encourage Dawson, someone she hadn't wanted to understand until then (understandable given Jen's history and her concern for her). I love that Dawson owned up to his bad behavior with everyone in this episode. I like that he didn't excuse it and just promised to be better to each girl. There were a lot of great character moments between him and many others in this episode. Especially the one I mentioned about Grams. It was nice to see them talk about movies and the bigger picture--that rainbows come after the rain. The end of the episode reflected that with the Mitch/Gail and Dawson/Joey and Dawson/Jen scenes. It was cute seeing DJo play together in the closet. One of my favorite scenes of theirs, it's so simple and innocent and sweet. The Pacey/Tamara/Doug stuff was just...meh. I still missed where Pacey/Tamara started "falling" for each other. Blah. And the jokes between Pacey/Doug weren't funny at all. On either end. __________________
