I hate that the SMG board closed, everyone just literally stopped talking and posting. I posted there all the time when there was activity there. Glad there are other places to talk about Buffy and that she has her own board on here anyway lol.

I liked the episode a lot! It was really well done. Can´t believe its 20 years ago when it aired.

yeah I definitely feel like it was a revolutionary episode not only for Buffy but for the TV show landscape in general because TV musical episodes hadn’t really been done until that point (okay I just checked and Daria had done theirs about 2 and a half years prior)
the way the format was used for storytelling and character arcs/development was definitely done well |

I thought musical episodes were always a thing, but maybe I'm mistaken and TV shows went nuts with them later lol. Glad you brought up Daria's musical episode, cause I think that is the only musical episode of something I can tolerate (cause it was funny as hell on a show like Daria) I find musical episodes to be annoying and torturous, with Buffy's being no exception. I agree that it was executed well with everyone having to sing their true feelings though.

I don't remember that either, I just remember the demon coming and making them sing. Like I said though, I don't care much for this episode so maybe I easily forgot lol.
