The title is so true of the thread.

Watched "Some Assembly Required" a few days ago. Really liked seeing Giles crush over Jenny and fret over how to ask her out. Just for her to casually ask him to the football game. It was also funny how he said that Americans boast about their virility then put on 40 pounds of protective gear to play rugby. :rotfl:

And the BA scene at the end where they're walking through the graveyard and he admits he was jealous of Xander because he got to hear all her stories, eat his meals with her, and see her in the sunlight. It gave me serious IWRY feelings. I think I'm shipping BA more on this rewatch than I did the first time around.

interesting how theyve done a reunion with just some stills

Most the actors cant move around like they used to when the show was around, so this was a reunion done right actually...

Charisma Carpenter and Nicholas Brendon in Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Apparently high school on the Hellmouth has no age requirement: Nicholas Brendan and Charisma Carpenter were 26 and 27, respectively, when Buffy began its run in 1997. (David Boreanaz was 28 at the time, but his role was, in fact, a centuries-old vampire dating a high school student rather than a high school student himself, so he is excused.)

TV Stars Much Older Than Their Teenage Roles

rossfangirl86 05-06-2017 03:09 PM

Wow, didn't realize they were all that much older than the characters they played.

I feel like it's common for teen shows to have actors that are a lot older than the characters. I think OTH made a joke about that in I think s5 or 6 or something.

I know a lot of people have issues with people playing characters that aren't the same age. But as long as they can look the age who cares.

The one that really surprised me was the guy who plays Hannah Montana's brother.

rossfangirl86 05-08-2017 04:11 PM

Well, I'm not surprised when actors are in their early 20s and play teenagers. It's more unusual for them to be over 25.

Drunk On You 05-08-2017 09:46 PM

True.

Been watching s2, this really was one of the best seasons of the show imo.
