I saw the movie on DVD.

I've only caught bits and pieces of it on TV.

Well I have the DVD & the blue ray but I don't consider those and the edited version that's seen on TV the whole movie especially since I now know that there's been so much cut out of the movie. I know a few channels that have the rights to the director's cut, but as I said I don't think they'll ever play it again on TV unfortunately, but I still see just in case by chance, but no luck yet.

I'm not sure, but I think the reason why so much was cut was because the movie was too long by then, but still some of the deleted scenes should have definitely stayed in especially the undressing scene because to me that one is important because when you see the edited version it's confusing and scene ties it up.

As for why won't play it anymore I don't know, they did play it years ago I think the last time was 2006? and I don't know what channel it was on though and only a few channels have the rights to the director's cut so it's difficult to figure out which ones will play it, but if you know which ones will then I guess it wouldn't, but I wish they'd play it because sad as it is Whitney is gone and you know it's just not fair for us who haven't seen it we should be able to there's no point in not showing it anymore.

Now apparently the VHS of the director's cut was released years ago, but it was never released again after that and I think that was shortly after it's 1992 release.

It's been over 25 yrs or at least close to it now that they should release it or show on TV I just don't understand...maybe Kevin doesn't want it released or shown but that's only speculation because he was very protective of the movie and Whitney so maybe he's just trying honor her and respect her which I don't blame him and I understand.

I just wasn't sure what could have been in the movie that would make them not want to show the unedited version.

I'm pretty sure that Kevin has the director's cut because he was producer and all...and he does have the more sexual scenes that were done that were cut as well, now those I don't care about really because those are his business and Whitney's and I respect that, but the deleted/extended scenes is what I want more. I'm glad that I have the book now that I can at least read about the deleted/extended scenes it's better than nothing.
