And I only watched Season 9 and 10 because Steve was there. It was sad enough that Brandon left why did Val left too that was so sad I hated that Valerie left. She really should have stayed.
So yeah its understandable when Season 9 and 10 aren`t that popular.
I for myself liked the first seasons the most and the seasons with Val and Clare. The rest was pretty lame most of the time.

^ Yes the early seasons were very good but I think it did lose its way around S6-7 though. I love Val and Clare as well - all of the other additions to the main cast I didn't like. The only other guests I like were Deshawn, Lucinda, Colin, Emily, Susan, Toni, John Sears and Tara. Did not like Matt, Mark, Tracy, Carly, Janet, Noah, Brooke and Joe

Johns Sears, Tara and Emily...not a fan of them. Susan was cool, Toni was nice, Lucinda was good too, Colin mmh he was okay.
I personally liked Carly. But Tracy mmh average I would say. Matt was boring except for this one episode when he was on drugs that was the only great episode with him.
Mark was a no go I never liked him. Brooke creamed my corn with her comments, Joe was boring but I loved the parrot , Noah no thanks...I don`t know why Donna loved him....
And that I like Janet well I already wrote that.

But all in all yeah the earlier Seasons were better. And when Cindy and Jim left it was kinda sad. The only things I liked in Season 6 were Val/David and Clare/Steve. In Season 7 Clare/Steve started nice but ended bad...so yeah Season 6 was little better for me.

I think Jim and Cindy leaving kind of lost its shape. Season 6 was good because of Colin/Kelly, Steve/Clare, Brandon/Susan. I'm growing on Val/David now.

I agree it got different. Sure those two came back for one or two episodes but never really together except for the video message for Steves birthday.

Anyway: I loved Val/David in Season 6 and Clare/Steve began to date each other
And I liked Brandon/Susan they were nice together.

Actually I did think Steve and Celeste were good together. She was the best choice for him after Clare. I wasn't that keen on him and Janet

Yeah Celeste was nice. But Clare was peppy and funny. So my personal favourites for Steve are Clare and Janet. But: I was sad when Clare left because I really liked her.

My problem with Celeste/Steve is the way he treated her. I don't think their relationship was well written but she was a nice girl. Clare/Steve will always be my favorite ship for him.

Celeste was a nice girl and yes I guess he didn't treat her that well - he cheated on her with that psycho Laura so it was quite ironic that she goes for his nemesis John Sears at the end of season 4
