Just met Patton, forgot that he wasn't in the first few episodes of NOLA in season 1... 1x04 - he just joined the team...

I don't think that he was in every episode, at least not in season 1 - so far I had him in 2 or 3 episodes, but then again i'm only halfway through s1...
