This was a great episode. I love it when they do episodes that highlight/deal with real programs or issues for the active military or veterans.

With that said, I didn't know that this episode had the Honor Flight included until it on my local news because they did a small story about it (link to watch if you want) since we have the organization here too. They said the reasoning behind the idea to do an episode with the Honor Flight, which was neat to find out.

Hahaha McGee gossiping about Torres and Quinn and all the Top Gun comparisons they were coming up with. :lmao: Bishop getting caught by Gibbs in the middle of her sentence to McGee. I can kinda see Torres and Quinn though

Henry was a trip! Nice to see Bruce McGill back on TV. He did a great job with the character.

So sweet of Abby to make the welcome.mat for Henry. So funny she thought he was great while the others thought otherwise (except for Gibbs). But that is Abby and she is awesome for that. :D

Nice we see reeves finally!! And he is staying as a liaison. Man he is bossy though. Like how Gibbs volunteer him to take Henry to the wall.

I can't believe Reeves fell for Henry's hurt back  He should have known better after everything.

The scene with Henry at the Wall was so sad. I can only imagine how hard it is for the vets to visit that wall and see the names of their friends/fallen comrades listed on there. So moving.
I am glad Gibbs knew where he would be. The talk Gibbs had with Reeves was good too.

Aww glad Abby got to see Henry. Haha and she was not phased by the way he acted.

This is one where I couldn't figure out the killer. Which was nice for a change :look:

Haha Quinn and Torres trying to keep the "rumor" at bay.

Loved the ending!!!! I liked that Gibbs and Reeves flew back with Henry. It was so awesome what Reeves did for Henry when he got home as well. Just such a great ending. :bawl:

Also glad that Reeves turned down the mission. I am wondering if we will see him more now that he did that?

Steph: I haven't watched the episode yet, but I can't wait to see Bruce McGill. He was great on another favorite of mine, Rizzoli & Isles, which has been cancelled :mad::mad: Be back after. ;)

maplezbear 03-30-2017 05:07 PM

Hope you get to watch it!

Yeah, he was great on R&I too  That's why I am glad he made an appearance on NCIS :) Nice to see him back on the screen.

don't think it was a great ep, but it was okay and i agree with the rest you've said.

hope that we see reeves more often too. liked his interaction with torres awhile back.

looks like tony rubbed of on mcgee more than regarding the job: first bringing up the fling story, then trying to find out more an then shifting it all onto bishop.

alos liked this conversation:
gibbs: this thing is blinking.(one of abby's machines)
abby: yeah i forgot. i put it on mute for being naughty.

i just love her for things like that.

maplezbear 04-06-2017 05:04 PM

So true about Tony rubbing off on McGee. I didn't even notice that he did that, but yeah.

shinebrighterxx 04-08-2017 08:29 PM

That's interesting if Tony has rubbed off on McGee - will look forward to seeing what you mean there. Doesn't surprise me though

I don't know why I just came across this now but found an article about Honor Flight here if anyone would like to read it. This is what it had to say about it being featured in NCIS:
Quote:

As for the "NCIS" episode spotlighting the organization, Paradis said he hopes it serves as a call to action for veterans looking to pay their respect.

It's not every day you get this sort of national attention. We're hoping to springboard others to support Honor Flight, which is an incredible organization," he said. ""Viewers at home are going to see the deep and meaningful connection that's made on the Honor Flight."

maplezbear 04-09-2017 05:01 PM

Thanks for that Chelle. That is about what the article/video I posted said as well, with a few different things. I love that they did an episode on it. :)

shinebrighterxx 06-17-2017 07:02 PM

This is the episode which aired here last week. I haven't watched it yet. Do I wait until I know the show is coming back or can I watch it & it won't matter that I don't know when I'll next get new eps?

Sounds like a powerful episode :sigh: the promo here didn't feel that way from what I remember of it though

maplezbear 06-17-2017 07:34 PM

It is all up to you. I think you should base it on if you don't mind watching this last new episode, not knowing when the next new one would be. :D
