Thanks for the thread
Wonder if the team is going to call gibbs again or if they will handle it alone. Gibbs in court sounds interesting... __________________

I think they'll do fine on their own...
... And Gibbs' side story sounds intriguing too __________________

True, but I think it's more out of respect

What is Gibbs up to? Was that part of the file he was working on for the reporter?
Or something more at play. I get Vance has to act as the head of NCIS. But after 12 years or more of Gibbs' rule breaking. Now he finds a line that cannot be crossed? Feels like there is more... Or it's the show's way of addressing real life issues in policing, and how far police law drama's take it. I don't know, feels like something and this is a grander play. The dog is adorable. Ellie's improved her gun skills. __________________

Agreed with everything you said. I was wondering the same thing if there isn't more to what is going on with Gibbs. But I guess you could be right, I never thought about it - but it could be the show's way of addressing police issues.
I love seeing Lucy. Such a cutie! __________________

good episode.
nice that the cases were connected. mcgee did a good job leading the team and I expected nothing else after all those years, but there was still something missing without gibbs. the perp was a sleazy person. glad he is behind bars again. felt for kasie when she admitted to feel guilty, because she didn't activate the device. It was a good episode.
I agree with everyone, I think that's the show's way of addressing police misconduct and facing one's actions... "Hines, don't give up"... Kasie was wonderful in the episode, even if she felt guilty... I think Gibbs has his own agenda, with working on a side project __________________

Looks like Bishop is training with Odette & that's how she got the perfect score
Why is Gibbs surprised he was dropped from the case? It should be clear why he's no longer a reliable witness. I like Kasie's logic that roads are for cars & oceans are for sharks Of course the case is connected to the trial. Now to prove that the guy had the witness killed... What is wrong with talking to his pet? Better than Gibbs talking to himself 23 pages of rhymes? wow Where is the question there? The other lawyer is just talking to the jury, not asking Gibbs things... on other shows the other lawyer would be objecting that council is testifying to that... The wife was still involved? Money is a draw card... I like how they tracked them with the passport Of course Gibbs didn't pick up. Bishop should've tried from her own phone... __________________

I don't think that Gibbs ever really got used to not always getting his way...
I love Kasie's brand of humor, she had so many hilariously wonderful lines so far this season... She always makes me smile/laugh it felt like that the other lawyer was just stating his ending statement, instead of asking anything from Gibbs... But I guess it had to be done... They still managed to get him/them... __________________

Maybe but it still should've been obvious I think . Even if he has no remorse for what he has done it shouldn't be too hard to see that he has committed a crime so therefore isn't a reliable witness. If he can't even see that much then even more so he doesn't deserve his job back right now
Perhaps but they didn't show Gibbs step down, he was just sitting there while the lawyer was just talking, & on any other show that wouldn't be ok. Just here they were trying to prove a point. Or the lawyer just was seeing what she expected happen so didn't care to object as it was true. __________________

It was probably a bit of both.
I don't think that Gibbs doesn't understand the severity of his actions. It was more the fact that years ago he would have been still able to testify, after being in the wrong... ... Partly because back then, whatever he did off the book stayed out of the public's eye, and it was also a different environment to work in... __________________
