thanks for the thread

haven't watched the first episode yet, but hope to do that this week.

YW :)

I've fixed the episode description. I got the threads mixed up while setting them up

I already wondered where all the names came from, but since I hadn't watched the first epiosde yet, I thought it might be a two parter, so I didn't ask...

Please feel free to ask if you ever notice anything odd, it is really easy for me to mix them up since I've got both tabs open at once when I do it. Understandable you thought that, but nope. They were random names as they were the other show's characters

Will do.

And yes, I just found out - watching the first episode.

Will do.

I'm caught up... :P

This was an action-packed episode, with the end no where near...

Fornell was also back, he's attending the same grieve group as Palmer

I'm starting to warm up to Agent Knight, she felt more like herself in this episode, instead of the mixture of familiar female agents.

The Mindy-Marcy jokes were appreciated as well...

Like that Fornell was not off spinning. He does seem to want to get help. And had some questions for Gibbs, about how much longer can he do this kind of work. Glad he came for answers, figuring it out for himself...

I like Knight. It will be interesting to see how she is fleshed out more. But she has a sense of humor.

Nick is really reeling at losing Bishop.

And the introduction of Gary Cole's character. Definitely a unique character.

Good episode.

Fornell being back came as a surprise to me, but I liked that they did it and it looks like he is trying to get through it. Liked that Palmeris doing the same and even brought him there,
And Fornell trying to tell Gibbs that he needs to do something too - just great.

Hope Nick is getting over losing Bishop soon.
Liked the dynamic of the team.
Hope Agent Parker isn't supposed to be the next Fornell.

Gibbs needed to have that conversation with Fornell, even if he didn't want to hear it... It was great to see Fornell at his best, and not as someone who's on the hunt to say...

I don't think that Agent Parker will be like Fornell, he reminded me more of Torres and his ways of being a lone wolf... With the tech savvy bit at the end, which surprised me as I didn't expect it...

He's had it before. With his shrink Grace a couple of season's ago with her asking how does he see it all ending for him. Can he retire? But this was someone else, near his age. Lost as much as Gibbs, in different ways than Gibbs of course.

We saw Gibbs when he was "suspended, retired". He did projects at home. But that ended up being a lot done in say a hour, when most would take all day to do them.

I truly can't see him retiring officially. He needs to be doing something. Feeling useful. Whether it officially back as a agent, but he needs to keep chasing until he truly dies.

He can do so much building of boats, or cabins, or other little projects.

florerr 10-03-2021 01:10 PM

True, but Grace was an outsider, while Fornell has been in the same, or similar enough shoes at this point... It had a different ring to it...

Agreed, that I cannot see him officially retiring, or doing side projects, but I can see him as an outside consultant helping out for the bigger cases and maybe doing some other investigation, or helping out on the side... :look:

Jasper1975 10-03-2021 02:55 PM

I agree. I could have seen him joining Fornell's investigating firm. So, question is after Emily. Is Fornell still working, or does he have no heart for it which is why he is questioning why Gibbs is still at it.
