This was a wonderfully stress free season finale... Maybe they wanted a no cliffhanger ending for a change, or weren't sure that they'll get renewed, so they ended things on a happy/optimist tune...

Talk was they were to use the finale they had scheduled for last season, but then they decided how rough this season was for the characters. So, they decided to do a stress free finale. Which I think was needed.
It was perfect. But brought up some little threads you know they will explore more. Like Callen's Russian ties, and especially Hetty and Callen's past relationship. Loved seeing Eric again... Only on NCIS LA, would a federal agent get left a Russian criminal syndicate. Kilbride was right LOL. But wow, was conclusion for two characters. But it was a perfect ender of a complicated season. __________________

Agreed, it was a nice change that there was no cliffhanger.
It was nice we had Kilbride and Hetty in the episode. Can't believe Eric and Nell actually left though. Wonder who they will get to replace Hetty or if Hetty will be back. Quote:

Yeah, wonder who will take on Nell's & Eric's job... But maybe they'll bring in new characters...
 Killbride was amazing as usual Even in death Kirkin is able to "bring joy into Marty's life"   __________________

I expected Eric, because he's had practically both feet out the door all season. But Nell surprised because she had grown in even though she in the past has bristled at Hetty's job, and here she has been doing it for months...
So, yeah, from what I have read

But yeah, will Fatima be groomed for it? Or will they bring someone new in. I wonder if they were trying to loosen some of the budget for being a long established show, and majority of the cast was still there, unlike the others, that had turn over. Episode 300 is next season if they can get about 19 episodes in the order, so I hope we see Eric and Nell or at least one of them. __________________

Nell had me fooled as well, but I'm happy that the character left on a happy note, with having that final hugging scene with Hetty & Kensi.
They left things kind of open, so Eric & Nell could be back for the 300 episode, for a quick cameo if nothing else... From what I understood leaving was the actors decesion, and they were not pushed by the production in any way __________________

I didn't see Nell going either.
I wouldn't mind if Kilbride stuck around, but if Hetty comes back that would be good too. Hopefully the Wonder Twins will be back for the 300th. __________________
