I highly doubt Sam will take the offer. He and Callen are the types who would never last long behind a desk full time.

If anything, this just may just be enough for Hetty to boot the Admiral out the door for once again trying to steal her job out from under her! (or at the very least, warrant another stern 'chat'.)

The best ending for this would be a very stern sounding cryptic phone call that we can tell is Hetty along the lines of 'Looks like we're going to have to have another little talk, Hollace'.

Sounds like Sam might take it. But he's not there yet. Still, he's more the person for the job than Callen as Kilbride did say.

It's not like Kilbride wants to be there. He wants any way out of there. Which is why he wants to turn over the job to anyone. And it's not like Hetty is there, and would return permanently if she were to show up. Someone had to keep a eye on the office. Given the teams likes to go their own way. They need some roping in occasionally.

Sounds like his reunion with his son went well.

Deeks knows how to turn on the charm. He spends all day acting like he is looking elsewhere, but he hears Kenzie's worries. And makes it worth it, in the end.

And that little paper trick was out of my memory banks as a kid. I loved doing those.

Deeks ranting on romance

Makes sense why Kilbride asks Sam & would make sense for it to be Sam & him to consider it

Deeks counting down until when Rosa graduates is understandable but that isn't when parenting or family stops. It just evolves. This is why it is a shame they adopted such an old child over a younger one. Maybe the answer there is for them to look into adopting a younger child since Deeks wants that family element. Presuming Kensi is on the same page as that & they do still have balance as a couple too.

This case reminds me of one that NCIS did when McGee's grandmother was there. Different but still concerning bugs. These would be worse

Parenting does not end at eighteen or graduation, it does evolve but it's very different so I feel sad that they only have a year left before she heads off into her future, assuming she does decide to leave. They waited for so long for a family, and they only get two years before she potentially goes off on her own.

So, hopefully maybe they will get another chance at adoption. With a younger child.

Yeah, they have done those kind of cases where nature is used as weapon and I was also thinking of the one with McGee's grandmother, but they went in a different direction.

As much as Callen is a leader of the group. He's not the office type. He's a Gibbs type. Sam is the same. But Sam could take the lead back in the office if need be. Callen would not want that for long.
