Poor Sam not knowing his daughter was dating

I like when Sam/Roundtree work together

Glad that Callen eventually showed up

Smart Kam faking of being in trouble to force the baddie into the cell

Trying to play mute about having a boyfriend

This was a pretty good episode!

Poor Kam for being kidnapped... Sam going all Father-Bear was fun, but scary to watch...

Sam & Rountree work well together

I still don't get what Eric is doing at Ops though

Any ideas about Nell? I don't remember seeing her in this & the last episode either...

She was not in it, and I don't think she was in the last one either but I can't say for sure...

Seems like they are rotating. Eric is gone and Nell is there. And Eric is back, and Nell goes off.

But they have their little working pods of characters. And not a lot of team scenes, even when they are in the same building.

Kam was smart. Although why she went and tried to save the other kid instead of trying to run. I get she wanted to save him. But she should have tried to get out...

Sam really did not know his daughter's other life. I guess she has been in boarding school or some Academy. So, of course she would have her own life.

That is a pretty car for a teenager to be able to drive. Those type of cars cost a lot of money.

I know... It didn't make sense for Kam to go back & try to save the guy instead of asking for help...

I believe that Kam was in Military Academy, but yet it sounded like that she kept quite a few secrets from him...

... BTW did we ever hear about the Sam House rules before this episode?

Don't recall ever hearing of his house rules

They did not really explore his home life except to acknowledge Michelle if she assisted, and of course when she died. And the kids. The rules rang too close to Gibbs rules on the original show that has guided him during the whole run. So, nope, I do not think we heard of them.

Sam is exactly how I envisioned him as a overprotective father.

Agreed I always imagined him as an overprotective father especially after losing Michelle thought it

And Kam exists in a age where you grow up quickly. You have other interests. Social media. Sam admitted it that because of his daughter, it was more difficult. Aiden was largely almost ready for college or in college when Michelle died. And Aiden always wanted to live up to his father's legacy.

Kam was much younger, and it makes sense she would have her interests and being away at school. She's going to have a life that Sam has no idea about.

And stray those family rules.

Yeah, and with Sam also grieving I think he paid less attention when it came to Kam...

But yes, he's an overprotective dad... Who was hurt because of being left out by his children...
