Interesting episode, I guess being Hawai'i. They had to do a Pearl Harbor themed episode, and with it being the 80th anniversary.

Important questions raised, within today's society.

agree with that.

(Just wondering why the guy was a survivior though - he had been out fishing on a private boat...)

Agreed with you both

I presume the attack they see is the Pearl Harbour bombing & then one of those planes shoot at them but he survived so therefore was a survivor of that day/attack. Although not directly involved in the main event still a survivor

okay, that's probably right.

Because of the fact there were so many questions, sorta got lost in how he being honored.

I liked the scenes of Jane's home life with her son and daughter. The son helping his sister with her project even if their mother wanted the daughter to be shielded from it all. But of the daughter is a student in today's culture, and it was good to see them looking at it, from a more personal side of it.

And acceptance for being who you are.

agreed with everything that was said about the episode

It seems logical in my head. No idea though. Honestly I'm not overly familiar with Pearl Harbour in general. My history learning was more Australia-based so missed quite a bit, including important things like that. But I wouldn't be surprised if anyone in that general area that day is thought of as a survivor - especially anyone directly involved in some part of the attack. Even if it was in a weird seeming way like that attack shown. That or it is television & we're not meant to ask questions or pick up on things like that

You are right with that too. I think americans have a different approach about military stuff anyway. (Doesn't mean it is a bad way - just different)

Yeah I think so too
