Thanks for the thread.
Hope they can solve this case soon and I hope Parker will stay.

It's amazing that they are going into their 20th season now.

Thanks for the thread!

I'm caught up with the season finale... Just in time... :run:

20th season :yay:

Hope for the same thing, that Parker survives the ordeal, and that the arc doesn't get dragged out... and I hope to see more of Palmer & Jessica this season as well :)

I do wonder if the crossover solves it & finds a bigger issue or just leads to a bigger issue that they start working on before then will go back to The Raven group later on :look:

Pretty good episode

florerr 09-20-2022 12:02 PM

I only manage to watch 10 minutes from the premier so far, but it started well... :pout: will finish the episode(s) tomorrow, later this week...

It was on okay episode. Nice focus on the fact that the team considers each other family. Really glad to have things sorted out for Parker, and that Vivian didn't betray him. Enjoyed seeing Fornell again.

:look: I didn't notice Gibbs in the opening credits. Was glad to see David MCallum/Ducky is still listed as a cast member.

shinebrighterxx 09-23-2022 12:34 AM

They've removed Mark Harmon now as far as I know . There's been no news hinting towards David leaving, just him cutting down episodes & then being protected from covid so it is wonderful they keep him there regardless of how many (or few) episodes he appears :)

agree with that.
Think it was a good episode for season premiere.

florerr 09-26-2022 12:25 PM

It was a nice episode, not the most thrilling season opener, but it was a solid episode.

I liked Parker's description of it being a special team...

I like Jimmy & Jess together, but Torres & Tennant... Not so much... :pout: that one felt forced to me, and also not really needed.... :look:

Anyways, I still have to watvh the 2nd half at some point...

I agree with you there

shinebrighterxx 09-27-2022 12:32 AM

I really don't understand pairings across two shows, but when they live in different states it makes it worse. How does it work? I don't see anything between the two either :look:

florerr 09-27-2022 12:15 PM

Exactly, and also there was an article on Tennant's future/love life where they didnt' want to let her be in a distance relationship woth anyone...

.. so why are they forcing T&T on us? :blank:

And it also feels too early since Torres wasn't over Bishop last season - far from it actually... so why do we need a romance/fling hinted between 2 characters from 2 different shows from the same franchise ? :look:

shinebrighterxx 09-28-2022 01:32 AM

Yeah they contradict themselves there :look:

Maybe they just want to play around & try make a will they or won't they feel? Or are inspired by SVU/OC over on NBC & want to compete with that & say we can do it too?

florerr 09-28-2022 01:00 PM

I hope that they are not aiming for an inter-franchise couple... :look:

The will they won't they part I can understand...

And also for some weird reason I am still seeing parallels between how Tiva was handled, and how Ellick is handled... I mean, Tony got a girlfriend in s12/s13 - so that he could realize that he is still missing Ziva by his exit episode... So they xould give Nick a new love interest, so that he can remember that he is still not over... :look:

shinebrighterxx 09-29-2022 01:35 AM

Silly to repeat storylines but yeah maybe they are doing that :look:. Or just want to push & have him move on quickly. But inter-franchise relationship is a no thank you from me

Jasper1975 09-30-2022 04:50 PM

I think they were just flirting. I don't see it going anywhere. Since if you watch Hawaii, she seems to have a connection with another character that comes and goes. I think it was way to have them interact. There is chemistry. But unless the show ends, and Wilmer wants to move to Hawaii. I don't see it going anywhere deeper than some flirtation when the shows meets up.

It was a much better, cohesive crossover event.

I am glad Parker's ex wife was not evil.

And loved seeing Fornell again.

shinebrighterxx 10-02-2022 09:16 PM

Perhaps. I don't think they're taking that pairing on Hawaii anywhere either though

Jasper1975 10-03-2022 09:29 AM

Hard to know with the season so young. He seems to come and go. So, we shall see. But I really don't think they are planning anything because of how difficulty it poses between the two shows.

My hope is still that if the show does end at some point. We see Ellie come back, even for one episode, have her undercover case clear up, and reunite with Nick.

I think they were just having some fun with the crossover, and some flirtations.

shinebrighterxx 10-24-2022 02:08 AM

Finally :yay:

Glad Vivian wasn't working with The Raven

McGee & Knight were talking to a prisoner & all I could think was 'I know you'. The actor was in a few episodes of House & SVU so that's why I knew him .

Jimmy & Knight are a secret/keeping things quiet for now? Ok then. Didn't realise that.

This episode is hard to engage with. I keep having to rewind as I tune out/get distracted.

I like the Hawaii addition to this episode. Felt naturalish

Nice seeing Vance in the ep & coordinating things from MTAC

florerr 10-24-2022 12:57 PM

Finally :yay:

In retrospect I can't see Jane & Nick happening, other than slightly over the top flirting... :P

And having Ellie back before the show ends is in my wish list too... :pout:
