I'm going to try camomile tea before bed as maybe that'll relax my mind enough to help me sleep. I think a problem is that my brain doesn't switch off

oh wow finally another thread ended. umm no I can't think of a title, sorry

No, never! And I did get sick. Sorry I wasn't posting, but I was so tired. Same as right now, but I know I had to post  I think I got what ever it is I have from the arcade. I forgot that after the games we go to the arcade for a little bit and play games.

I hope the camomile tea helped you :) Gotta find a way to switch your brain off. Usually when that happens to me I take meds to help, but they don't always help.

TFTNT

I hope you feel better soon . Could be the arcade, that'd probably be full of germs

The tea seems to be helping for now :) :look: I was also dehydrated so I think that wasn't helping so if I can get on top of that maybe I'll feel better & then sleep better

maplezbear 02-16-2018 07:41 PM

WElcome!

Thanks, me too. I really do believe that is where I got the cold from. I think next time I go, I will have to wear gloves so I don't pick any germs up

I am glad that the tea helped. Gotta start drinking that water though!

shinebrighterxx 02-16-2018 09:37 PM

Gloves may work

I know but sometimes its hard to get the chance to drink water :look:

maplezbear 02-17-2018 05:48 PM

I would look weird though

It is. What about carrying around one of those sport water bottles or something?

shinebrighterxx 02-17-2018 06:09 PM

Very weird   wear one of those face masks too ;)

I have a drink bottle, but I can't do my job & carry it around with me. Its usually somewhere in the yard or room. But sometimes because I need to help the children go inside I might leave it outside (or visa versa) since there just isn't the hands to hold a child & a drink bottle at the time. Or I'll be stuck sitting with a child & unable to move without upsetting them so it makes it hard to go drink the water as much as I should. But I'm usually better than I have been lately

I'm trying to do my coursework right now but I can't without getting annoyed at it. The unit is about child abuse & it comes with a warning at the start that it may affect some people since its a sensitive subject. But its affecting me in a completely different way as I just want to pick a fight with it. First it implied that females are the victims while males are the perpetrators of abuse/domestic violence, & now I've just read that people who identify as LGBT as teens/adults were more likely subjected to abuse as children. While it is just listing a study in that case, & before it said it was only listing some possible indicators of abuse, its being stereotypical. To me its also implying that abuse turns people gay or encourages people to explore their sexuality/gender identity. I'm sure that's not what it meant, but its the way it reads to me. ETA: I looked up the study & while I didn't read the whole thing it isn't what the study was about, but still the coursework reads poorly since it seems to imply it. The study actually looked at how identifying as LGBT put you at risk of abuse

maplezbear 02-18-2018 06:50 PM

 That would be really weird then

Ah ok. Well I hope you are able to figure something out so you are able to get enough water.

Wow, that is confusing. I can see who it reads poorly and why it was annoying you.

shinebrighterxx 02-19-2018 12:44 AM

Could be interesting to see the reaction :P

If in doubt - I just try to finish my bottle on my break & then try to drink lots again in the afternoon & when I get home :look:. That's what I usually do, I just haven't been doing it for weeks which is how I ended up dehydrated & feeling sick

maplezbear 02-19-2018 08:40 PM

Ah ok. I hope you are able to try to get enough water now to help keep from you getting sick.

This weekend went by way too fast. I had a three day weekend since we had a holiday, and it just all flew by so fast :thud:

shinebrighterxx 02-19-2018 08:45 PM

Hopefully :look:

Sucks when long weekends go fast :( hope it was a good one

I have a staff meeting tonight so i'll post better tomorrow morning. Today Iis not my day. Sad babies who don't want to sleep. i also won't get my full break (only short 5 min but still) because the casual in the room had to be told to go on her break & took her time leaving & then getting back. Another day i'm on close so no break between finishing work & starting the meeting :/

maplezbear 02-20-2018 12:32 PM

It was ok. I am still sick so I was trying to rest, but still ended up doing chores and stuff.

No problem. Hope you had a good staff meeting. And that is not fair that the other person had to be told to take their break, but you do not end up getting one.

shinebrighterxx 02-20-2018 02:19 PM

 hope you feel better soon

I still got a break, it was just going to be 5 minutes short. Luckily we had enough staff so I could have my whole break. I needed every second of it. As for my staff meeting, it went for almost 3 hours :blank:

Sulieter 02-22-2018 01:51 AM

Just doing a few posts!

maplezbear 02-22-2018 10:48 AM

Thanks Chelle  I am pretty much over the cold now, just the lingering stuff though. :)

Ah ok. I am glad you got a break still and that it didn't end up being short! Yikes, not good about the meeting! I didn't know meetings went on for so long

 Hi Sulieter. Thanks for stopping by and posting! :)

Sorry I didn't make it online last night. I didn't get home until 7:30 and by the time I ate and had a shower, I did not feel like going on the computer.
