... and I'm on kittem duty tonight it might turn out to be a long night if he doesn't feel like sleeping at all

I enjoyed seeing Wicked. They did well with it. I can understand why they've split it as it would've been a long movie with the second part (Act 2) added on. I'm still not sure how Act 2 will work as a movie either without a bit of fleshing out but guess I'll find out in a year . I'm curious to know if they use more things from the book to help flesh it out some more but there's also a lot of things from the book which were changed for the musical which may make no sense to bring in now. Plus fans of the musical may get confused if they don't know anything from the book

we had a decent night's sleep... he let us sleep, just watched us sleeping really...

luckily for me I'm not that familiar with either the book or the musical... :lpl: but if there's a part2 as well I might wait till next year before checking out the adaptation...

tomorrow will be an odd day with me going to wprk later due to an appointment and then catching up with all of the end of the month duties...

I feel like it is best on the big screen. But then also seeing it all in one go also is better too I saw the musical years ago (I think it was the first time it came through Australia) & have had the soundtrack for a few years. Then have read the whole series of books. Want to read the spinoff but haven't had the opportunity to yet. So may know a few things for it

yeah, it sounds like that you are a bit of a material expert I might know a song or 2 from the musical, and know that it's in some way connected to Wizard of Oz but that's it

looks like that a puppy is back on the plate... we are going for a rottweiler pup on Sunday... we had 2 of these breed back in the past, which means that we know what to expect just been many years really...

Just a little bit I think some songs are known or partially known, like Defying Gravity. They seem to pop up outside of the context of the musical. It is basically a backstory to the Wicked Witch, saying how she became the Wicked Witch. I believe the author of the book has done a few backstories to villains but I haven't had the chance to read them yet.

Some songs I know because of Glee... plus both Irina & Kristin are well-known and well loved but this is where my knowledge ends...

... looks like that I'm going to be posting to during the mornings instead of closing the day as the kitten tends to attack the phone in my hand when it's time to sleep according to him

this puppy is already 100% guaranteed - this breeder had no issues with me not having a big enough garden... even though a Rottweiler is a bigger dog

I'm pretty sure both Idina & Kristin were on Glee at some point too Doubt they sang the songs there though . Forgot the songs were covered on the show but I think at least Defying Gravity definitely was

I think Idina might have done that... but I haven't watched Glee in so long... besides ghe musical bits it was just too much drama to really kèep track off...

... yes, this breeder is just fine really... got some of the dog things today - of course didn't manage everything yet... as "dog shopping" after a voluntary 11h eork shift was not the best idea

Not really. Managed to buy some things for Christmas/birthday gifts. Finally added in some text inside my cards so almost finished those off too. Made a start to my Christmas lights. I didn't take them down due to the heat & next thing I knew it was March & didn't see the point at that point . So did the easy bits for now - turning on the solar panels. But it is overcast today so not sure if there will be enough light for them to be tested to see if they work still. Did a bit of gardening too. So guess I've been productive for no plans
It is my work Christmas/end of year party for the staff tonight but I just don't feel up to dealing with a social event so not going to it. Too drained

I watched s1 & the final season of Glee and has senn the musical numbers, but that's it really.

Everything urgent is purchased for the puppy - and we will be on the road in our as it's the other side of NL we need to reach...

Sounds like that you managed to do quite a lot during the weekend

It did feel productive

Tomorrow I think I learn more about new responsibilities coming in that I'm going to need to be on top of I don't have the brain power for one more tab. But at least I'm almost finished on the end of year reports so that's something.

I just need to be able to sleep & rest One day... if I can close some tabs

Hope the changes are not so bad...

So far having a puppy is draining, and I'm not fully sure to be ready to own one... we will see how the next few weeks are progressing... there is some chance that it may turn out to be too much after all and that he will be given to the local shelter - but this is me speaking after a very long day spent at home... and me speaking knowing that I will have too much family on my hands within the next 2 or so weeks...

It just all feels like too much at the moment - but when he's sleeping and not crying or trying to bite my leg or clothes, he is a really nice puppy

Meeting didn't happen. Hopefully it'll happen tomorrow so I can know what changes need to come in from next week. I understand some of it but I also need to clarify a few things too & make sure things are done correctly. At least today I was able to close other tabs so I can move into the new ones with some more ease & confidence. I hate end of year & the government bringing in new things on top of that aren't helping. I feel for the owners who'd had one thing all sorted & then changes came through & they had to redo a whole lot (which included getting all their educators to resign an agreement we'd just signed as it had to have wording changes )

Hopefully he settles soon & it can feel less too much
