I guess you could put it like that. I would say she left because she knew Jethro wasn't over his wife and his grief. If after all this time he hadn't been able to properly move on, how could she expect him to in the future?

He'll never be able to put that behind him, and I would never expect him to.
But that doesn't mean that he won't be able to love again.

That it didn't work with his three ex-wives was because they were just substitues for Shannon, if he even new it himself or not.

I don't think he's incapable to love again. It's just a matter of finding the right person and allowing himself to love someone else.

Yeah, but I still think he's holding back somehow. I don't expect him to forget his wife, but I think he should open up about it more. I think that being able to talk about it with someone he trusts will help him be able to move on, to be able to open his heart for someone else. I think maybe that's what Hol wanted from him too. I mean the fact that he never even mentioned it just shows, at least to me, how guarded he still is about it, how present it is in his mind. All I'm saying is that I would want him to talk about it with me because I think it would help to have someone else understand exactly what you're going through. I understand that it's his personal business and that he doesn't have to disclose anything about it if he doesn't want to, but I just think that he should because it would be better for him.

Only someone who's gonna through the same thing will understand exactly what he's been through, others can just understand it.
Yes, it's said that talking about traumatizing events will help you cope with them, but it may just not be Gibbs way, which doesn't mean that it wouldn't help him if he talked to Ducky about it.
It's hard for him.

That is true. We all deal with tramautic events in different ways, and one would hope that talking about it would help, but not everyone is the same. Sad, but true.

I liked them together. It would be neat for her to make another appearance. I think she just made one last season I believe it was.

She did show up again & I have a feeling she's appeared again since then too

Now that Susanna doesn't have Arrow it would make her schedule clearer to drop by & visit again for a while (not that Arrow was the reason she left)
