I didn't take it like that at all. If anything he was confirming it, but didn't want Anna to blame him for it, so to speak.

I took it more like Hanna too . Just a response of 'yeah, maybe, but it was her fault, whatever'. Just a random response, not actually necessarily meaning it. That & that he doesn't trust her so Anna shouldn't either

I think he meant it, based on tone, and tbh, with the damage she did, it's true anyway. She made his issues worse.
