Just re-watched 14x13 ... The episode where Palmer is on the balcony with a guy who wants to commit suicide... It's by far the best Palmer-centric episode... It's the episode where we can see how much he's actually grown while working with Ducky...

I wonder if the writers have forgotten that they originally had Palmer & Breena going to adopt a child? They had the whole storyline on how they wanted one of each, adopting first, but that fell through, & then Breena got pregnant. After that we've had nothing. But surely they didn't change their minds if they wanted more children? You'd think by now they would be looking at adopting their second one. But I guess that disappeared with Breena & Victoria since neither have appeared since the episode Victoria was born. Crazy Victoria would be almost 5 now We need to see her again!

Can we just get a 'bring your child to work day' episode & invite Victoria & McGee's twins?

For me the adopt/not adopt story kind of made sense... The adoption fell through but Breena got pregnant at the least expected time. It's not entirely uncommon in real life either that something like that would happen...

I think after Victoria was born they re-evaluated the "how many children do we want" question...

I have no issue with the storyline & what happened made sense to me too. What gets me is that the adoption storyline was dropped. It was always the plan for them to do both but then after they got one they never had a second? What happened to adopting? Just because one fell through, doesn't mean the next one will. Why did we not even hear that they'd decided one was enough? (or I'm just forgetting it if they did say that) As the plan should still be to adopt a child regardless of them having a child of their own happening first instead since the plan always was to do both. It was never do we adopt or have our own, they just planned on adopting first which didn't work out.

I remember Jimmy freaking out a few times before Victoria was born, but I honestly can't recall if a solid reason was given... I guess with the actress playing Breena being mostly absent for the past couple of seasons they just decided to drop the adoption... At least for now...

(Maybe once they deal with Ziva, we'll learn more about the Palmer-family... )

The actress who plays Breena appears to not be in the industry anymore tbh which may be part of it . But they don't need to show her to say they're adopting or changed minds... idk
I think they just moved on from it & forgot that the intention was for them to do both. I'd forgotten about it in a way until I rewatched too

Yeah, they did that "moving on" with quite a few storyline... But I even settle with Victoria appearing at some point... (And they can even cast someone new for the role of Breena... I mean they did that with "Diane" & "Emily" too back then... )

That's sad to hear she is no longer in the industry. That means we probably wont ever see her or Victoria then probably Unless like Hanna suggested they recast.
