Board Closure - Opinions? Please read.
 

Hi Everyone,

I have been thinking about this for some time, but had done so seriously the last few days. I've come to the decision that maybe we should close this board for a number of reasons.

One, Dollhouse has been over for a few months now and we are exhausting all our topics in a variety of threads. It seems obvious that we are running out of things to talk about except maybe in the Amy & Alexis threads, and two threads cannot keep this board alive.

Two, sometimes we go over 10 hours with only have two or three posts from the time I get home from work one day til the time I get home the next, Imnot saying that people should post more and that we are letting the board down, just life is hard and sometimes we dont have time to post and that seems to be the case with most of the posters here at the Dollhouse board.

Three, sometimes I feel like Yaz & I were the only people keeping this board active, I dont want anyone to feel offended by that but Yaz and I were the only people who posted in most of the threads, 90% of our threads are dead now because no one posts in them.

I think its time to let go.

So I am going to pose the question:

Do you think its better to let the board go now, and close it or keep it open? I would appreciate any thoughts and/or opinions on the subject.

whatever you guys think is best. but I want you to keep in touch with me. I don't want to loose any of you. I've been coming to this board off and on since the show began, and I've become attached.

it's sad yes, but I think I can understand your reasonings. :love::( it's very sad for me.....like...:bawl:

as for when it's closing. I think we should do it now then being forced to close. because that's worse to me. :shrug: :(

I think it might be the right decision :cry: It's hard when there are only a few posters even in the still active threads, so there doesn't seem much to talk about...

But it would be a real shame to lose some of the gorgeous opening posts for the couples that we have, is there any way we could think about transferring them over to the couples board maybe? I know that when the Nip/Tuck board was closed down, we actually continued one shipper thread over at the couples board with the past thread links just going back to the N/T board

ETA The active threads I am thinking of is the V/S thread (obviously!), the Dewitt/Dominic thread, and the Paul/Echo thread. I would be sorry to lose all the work that went into those thread openings

And yeah we can move over the OP's to the couples board, I know there is already a VS thread there so as long as they dont mind us taking over their OP then its cool. Well I thought they did but I cant find one in the board guide. We'd have to start threads for Dominic/DeWitt and Paul/Echo though :)

Yeah I think that's a good idea. we'll take the OPs for the couples in the Couples Board. [I will come everyday for SV] and like make a Dollhouse thread in the TV board....?? using the One of our OPs?? :look:

Well Im happy to start the threads over at the couples board, though I might take the list of shippers out since we should start afresh for that.
