Thanks for this thread Lynn. Hopefully 30 Rock will have a good showing like it always does. But I'm all for more noms for them.

I'm looking forward to the news! I bet 30 Rock dominates, as usual.

Thanks Lynn. I was thinking about opening a similar thread regarding award shows.

I hope 30 Rock will rock the Emmy nominations again but I don't think they can reach last years nominations/wins ever again.

ETA: Forget what I said. 30 Rock got soooo many nominations. Freakin 22!

Tina, Alec, Jane, Jack and Tracey all got nominated. And a lot of guest actors too like Steve Buscemi, John Hamm, Steve Martin, Jennifer Aniston and Elaine Stritch. But no Oprah.
And Tina is competing in the guest actress category with Jennifer and Elaine for her appearance on SNL.

I'm so happy for Jane, Tracey and Jack. After three years I kinda gave up hope that they would be nominated.

22 nominations!!! That's incredible! I'm so glad to see them get some of them. Some of the noms weren't a surprise (the comedy series, Tina's, and Alec's among them), but I'm soooo glad to see Jane, Jack, and Tracy get nominated for their performances. They definitely deserve that recognition, and I hope some of them win!

Also something to note: there are a couple categories where almost all of the nominees are from 30 Rock. In the "Writing for a Comedy Series" category, 4 out of 5 nominees are 30 Rock, and then in the "Guest Actor in a Comedy Series," 3 out of 5 are from 30 Rock. I love it.

Another fun something that I noticed going through the full list- "Kenneth the Web Page" was nominated for "Outstanding Special Class- Short-format Live-action Entertainment Programs"! I love Kenneth the Web Page, and I'd love to see Jack win for that as well as for Supporting Actor.

I'm so happy that Tina also got a nom for her Sarah Palin impression! She so deserved it because that was absolutely the highlight of SNL last year. It'll be funny to see her competing against Jennifer and Elaine, though.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it. I wonder if he wins...will Jack appear as Kenneth?

It's sad, but this is the highlight of my week. I'm so glad our Fab Five all got nominations.

It's not sad that this is the highlight of your week, Pia. It kind of is for me too. Then again, maybe that just makes us both sad.

Sandy! Good to see you again! Haha, they better get some Emmys! I don't know how they could get 22 nominations and not get any at all, though. They might not get some of the big ones, but I'm sure they'll get some. That would be quite awesome if they swept the big ones again, though. They did that last year at the Emmys and the SAG awards ("the big ones" being Comedy Series, Lead Actor, and Lead Actress. And, of course, this year they could get Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress as well!).

People are already griping that the show got too many nominations. Oh well. 30 Rock suffers from an "awesomeness problem." to quote My Name Is Earl.

You know what, let them gripe. They're just jealous that their shows aren't as good as 30 Rock. I'd say, of all problems to have, an "awesomeness problem" (I like the term, by the way) is probably a pretty good one to have. Besides, 30 Rock deserved every nomination it got. Just because those people don't watch it and therefore have not experienced its awesomeness doesn't mean it isn't awesome.
