Yep in general there's a huge difference between reading about something and actually seeing it...like say THG the books vs the movies

Yeah we were pretty much 100% spoiled for those and watching the movies definitely wasn't spoiled by it
(except maybe for THG because the book made us put the bar way too high but that's a different story ) |

Yeah you know how I feel about THG, the movie, and I believe you feel the same way. CF is like a 100x better than THG...but yeah anyways reading about the proposal vs seeing it was like

It's like on the Office when Jim proposed to Pam. He proposed to her at a gas station that was halfway between New York and Scranton because he just couldn't wait anymore and he'd been carrying around the ring since they started dating. Clark didn't have the ring for as long but he'd also been carrying it around for awhile and he didn't want to wait to ask her anymore
