And finally my time has come. My beloved board and its users I thank you for making my stay so brilliant for such a long time. I've been an active member of this board since the first week it went up and became a moderator when Paula (hats off ) resigned and had the pleasure of learning the ropes alongside Kara (no, put the whip away ). I hope I could pass some of what she taught me on to Amber () and later Nicole (). I believe that Nicole will continue to do a great job moderating and helping whoever becomes my successor. As you can see I have been around for a while and I've seen a lot happen and especially my predecessors can confirm how hard this decision is and for those that don't it's really, really, really hard.

Anyway since one or the other might be wondering why I ended up resigning. I guess most of you have noticed my displeasure with some of the decisions the show runners have made in the show. It started in S3 but I stuck with it hoping that they would change and mend things but things have not improved as much as I hoped as far as I am concerned. S3 was terrible but S4 was even worse and S5 while having a decent stride in the latest instances has not really hit any highlights for me. I might still continue watching the show but I'm not sure if I really want to discuss it. Although I'm not ruling out that I might be visiting the board. Possibly even regularly if the circumstances are right.
Another thing is that the atmosphere on the board has changed a lot. I'm not saying that it's good or bad but I feel like I don't belong in here any more. Maybe what I need is a time off but maybe it's more than that.

So in order for the board to work as it should and having a moderating staff fresh and full of passion I am making the way free for that. In the end I love the board too much for it to just dwindle with me as a moderator that can't get as invested as he should be.

And to honour this I'm going out in the fashion that I always wanted to. With a song that I love and hopefully rings true to everybody and especially the board.

You did a fabulous job, Ashu! You will be greatly missed! But I hope you do visit once in a while. You were here for a long time and were very respected so its a big loss for the entire FF family. Awww! Very suitable song And oh yes, the decision to step down is DEFINITELY a hard one. It's so amazing that you've been here since the board started! It's going to be really weird to come here and not see you as moderator. I only remember you being the moderator! :O It feels like an end to an era :/ But, obviously since I already stepped down, I totally understand and respect your decision. (As Howard once said, "Been there!") Good luck with your future projects! I appreciate all the time you've invested in the board. You'll be missed!

Honestly, I never had (in this short time) the opportunity to engage in a conversation with you Ashu, but I know you're a great moderator of this board and really, I know we will miss you ! There will be a big hole here without you

All my hopes to you to have a great time wherever you will be (or on Twitter!) but I also hope you will be posting here at least when you can

I'm sad to see you leave, Ashu, but I'm glad to see you're doing what's best for you. You've done a great job as a mod and I hope you can still visit every once in a while! You should feel good about what you have accomplished and having been such a big part of his board.

It is terrifying that I listened to that song like an hour before this thread went up. But anyway, it was great modding with you, Ashu, the few months I had the chance to. You'll definitely be missed, like Amber said, you were one of those people who were always there. I'll refrain from the botched Star Wars analogies that I was attempting in our PMs the other day.
