I agree. I think it's great that he does such a good job at his job that "real world" scientists like the idea of his hosting an event.

This sounds like quite a prestigious affair, too.

So since I mentioned this a mere few days ago, JP's hands were particularly red in last night's episode. Even my roommate (not a huge one on noticing details) goes "Dang! Look how red his hands are!". Hehe. I felt so knowledgable when I responded matter-of-factly "yeah, apparently it's because Jim Parsons washes his hands all the time."

Thanks for that sweet collection! There are hundreds of Sheldon compilations, but not many of Jim.

I have to say this here (this being the correct thread for gushing).. Jim absolutely knocked the ball out of the park with his performance in the apology scene. Watching his body language of childish hesitation, his lower pitch, fidgeting, eyes dropping, and the crack in his voice on the 'sorry'.. it just comes back to haunt me. He was so Sheldon and so not Sheldon in that moment. I almost felt he deserves another award just for that scene.

Hi there. De-lurking to say looks like Jim is going to be at the Grammys tomorrow night with Jason Segel. (I can't view the video, stupid CBS, but it's just his picture in a seat apparently)

Pauley P, Jim Parsons and Jason Segel

They're not on the performers list either, don't hold out much hope for a 'Man or Muppet' duet, but it's good they will be there.

Thanks for the info!

Rehearsals? Doesn't that mean they might have a performance?

Strangely enough, I haven't flailed crazily about JP in that scene yet! I think I was just too overcome about everything in that scene to focus on him. I love, love, LOVE how he acted though. The look in his blue eyes, the way he bit his lips, the hesitation, his low voice and how it cracked. I'm still not swooning yet, I'm too awed to even swoon. Must watch on loop...

Exactly, I haven't either, it's the sheer strength of his performance in that moment that gets to me. Too much respect to even think of how he looks.

Well, I've got you ladies covered. I've never swooned at Sheldon (JP yes of course, but never Sheldon) but I'm swooning all over the place when he knocks on the door!

Good for you.

I've certainly been swooning over the scene itself, if that's possible. All of it, right upto Amy's pretend nonchalance when she's clearly swooning internally over his 'sorry' herself.

Pomita, I'm responding to your...response in the Shipper thread here, since I'm guessing that's where this belongs

LOL I remember, that was on Craig. And then he said he could give private Sheldon shows for him.
It's a point worth musing, though! I rather thing I might want.. on the other hand, I'd really like to see Jim do other good roles.
I too would like to see what else JP can do. He's a great actor. I think it'd be cool to see him tackle Drama personally. I've heard it said that Comedy is much more difficult than drama, so I'm sure he'd do fine. But it'd still be interesting to see. I know he's been in other stuff, but I have yet to see it...except for that clip from Garden State where he looks about 12 and drops an F bomb.

And although it's still off topic...

Hmm. Thanks for the info, I'm a little uninformed about US TV shows (since this is the first I've ever watched).
I may be biased being that I AM american, but we have some pretty good television over here.
